The owners of this beautiful GTO had stopped at the Dairy Queen across the river from Manchester's red mill after the car show at the Manchester Chicken Broil.

My local Ferrari dealership has an Enzo, F50, F40, and GTO on display in a glass walled car elevator. Yesterday I just happened to stop by the dealership when they brought the cars out for cleaning and servicing.
also known as the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, its a V6 3.0 twin Turbo. Very unfortunately this car been off road and been parked up for months. Lots of potential and a shame if its abandoned. This is the Japanese domestic market (JDM) model, so it came to UK as a used car from Japan, Grey market

I have been watching the Barrett-Jackson car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona this week on the Speed channel. The auction runs through Sunday and the Speed channel will have ten hours of coverage each day on Friday and Saturday. Saturday in particular will have numerous rare cars crossing the block. One of them will be a replica GTO MonkeeMobile, lot no. 1236.1 and should cross the block fairly early in the program (which begins at 12:00 noon Mountain Time).
This MonkeeMobile, that I photographed at the September 12, 2010 Baker's Restaurant Sunday Cruise-in near Milford, Michigan is one of the two original cars.
FILE-- A 1965 Pontiac GTO is shown in this undated General Motors handout photo. GM vice chairman Robert Lutz on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, announced the return of the GTO, the muscle car of the 1960s. The GTO will be built by GM's Australian unit Holden and will be based on the Holden Monaro coupe. The Monaro "shares that V8 heritage and a brawny, muscular stance with the classic GTO and it will make a fine flagship for Pontiac," Lutz said during the New York Auto International Show. The new GTO will be available inthe 2004 model year and the vehicle will be shown early in next year's auto show season, perhaps in Los Angeles or Detroit. (AP Photo/General Motors, File)

Ferrari 288 GTO after the 2009 Concorso Italiano
My friend was lucky enough to get to drive this into the show for the owner, who couln't attend. When the show was over, we had the choice to sit in (uphill) traffic for an hour, or hang out for an hour and then have an open road. So we drove down to the end of the course and decided to do an impromptu photoshoot. Wouldn't you?
