A rare outing into our street of my 1/18th scale model Ferrari 250 GTO by CMC models.
I get nervous handling it as it is far and away my most expensive model. I can only imagine how owners of the real thing feel, given that the last real one sold for about 85,000 times as much as I paid for this! I don't feel quite so extravagant now.

This GTO pulled up just as I was leaving the premises. Most of the Cars & Coffee participants had left by this time. The driver of the GTO it seems was this young woman whose dressed matched the dark green color of her car! I have no idea what was being discussed between the young lady and the older gent next to her. I think that he was just an owner of some other car that was on display.
This 1968 heralded a new generation of Pontiac (and other GM) intermediate models. It still has the triangular vent wing window on the front door, a feature that would be gone in the 1969 model year on the GTO.
Don't be fooled by the empty parking lot. The conditions under which I took this picture (of the car) were very much different. People and other cars all around. This black GTO was obliterated with distracting reflections all along its side. Red, green, blue - every color shape and configuration imaginable. Spent hours doing my best to eliminate the reflections while trying to retain some semblance of highly glossy, reflective paint. The car was black......with the traditional red wall stripe tires (a Pontiac GTO trademark for awhile).
