It's always nice to see a very rare bird so well! This one has been at the same stretch of "river" for the past week or so, often allowing for great views. I was not disappointed with mine! Lifer for me, but more importantly a great state bird.
Sepulveda Dam, Los Angeles, CA.
These birds are shy but I hung around so long that they got sick of hiding. Very windy up here which made it a bad hair day for ibises.
We had a good time with many birds coming in to feed and many opportunities to photograph them in this environment, I truly live in paradise fir sure.
It's Friday so have a great weekend, a great day, and thank you as always for the visit.

Momument walk, Hat Head National Park, Arakoon, NSW. The monument walk is one of the more reliable locations to see Glossies, which are otherwise scarce. As luck would have it, two were feeding on the track and offered beaut views. Glossies feed exclusively on casaurina nuts. One of the major threats to glossies is by logging practices in state forests which remove casaurina forests in favour of 'desirable' timbers.
Managed to tear myself away from our new garden today Was great to see this Beautiful Glossy Ibis in East Sussex.
