The picture of this Glossy Ibis was taken at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge.

A seldom seen snake, the glossy crayfish watersnake. These nocturnal snakes specialize in eating freshly shed crayfish. They will eat other things as well such as fish and amphibians.

My first ever Glossy Ibis, foraging earlier this afternoon at the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve where it was first found by Ashley Beolens last week. A species I've been hoping to see in Bucks for a long time, so I jumped at the chance to see this relatively local one.
