Project 365 Day 153...
This is the best my front yard will look for the year...from here it's all downhill.
Today I hit a deer on the highway. I'm ok, the truck made it home. Mr. Whitetail didn't fair so well. Sorry deer, but you jumped right out in front dammit. Last thing I ever wanted to do was hurt another living thing with my vehicle. Sigh.
November is the worst month for car/deer collisions. Highway speed + a big deer = a smashed up truck.
This moody nighttime photograph by Duncan Rawlinson captures the train tracks and urban scene at 560 Front Street West in Toronto. The glowing red lights reflect off the rails, contrasting with the dark sky and the industrial surroundings. The Reve Condo and nearby residential buildings tower in the background, adding depth to this quiet yet striking depiction of downtown Toronto’s nightscape.

These are some of the wildflowers in my front yard. I do not fertilize nor do I use herbicide. I just let grow what wants to grow. I do mow it from time to time just to keep the neighbors in check...
Clockwise from upper left:
Violet, Purple Dead-nettle, Henbit, Speedwell, Dandelion, Johnny jump-up.
It's easy to confuse the Purple Dead-nettle and the Henbit -- both are members of the mint family.
