Homework-
In my final controlled assessment of my magazine front cover, i have chosen this as my final image to then create my front cover. I chose the magazine Vogue as my magazine choice as it is fashion and beauty based and that is what i wanted my magazine front cover to look like. The final image i choose i think fits well for the purpose of the magazine theme as i have taken the picture from mid point so it is only of her upper body and face focusing in on the clothes and the natural make up she is wearing. I think the way i have laid out my image is good as i have put the image on the right side of the image allowing me to still have space on the left side for the magazine content. The colours i have chosen as the background and writing of the font are successful with each other as i have chosen a dark purple background, which for women is a very common favourite colour which would attract people, with then bold thin white font as the title cover instantly drawing people into the magazine. I have also chosen a bright pink and white for the other smaller writing on the page making sure people are still drawn to the writing but not being taken away from the title of image as i have made sure they are the main focal point. Overall, in my opinion the strengths of my magazine front cover is the layout as i have made sure the layout is successful by leaving head room and making the picture fit well next to the writing. If i were to improve this magazine front cover i would try and use natural lighting to make the image more effective.

Get to the heart of this exhibit where man and technology converge in a dazzling light sculpture
A matrix of light beams over Harbourfront, originating from twenty of the worlds most powerful robotic searchlights, is entirely controlled by a network of sensors that measure the heart rate of passers-by. Up to 20 metal sculptures, with embedded sensors and computers, are placed along Toronto's harbour. Pulse readings, from people gripping the sculptures, are converted into light pulses by computers that also determine the orientation of the beams. With over 200,000 watts of power and 15 km visibility, Pulse Front blends the intimate with the spectacular in one of Toronto's most popular public spaces.

The grille emblem does not seem correct here. It should a V-shape, as seen on this 1958 Plymouth Savoy:
