I like this tree. I like the open sky, the rolling hills, and ever-changing but always beautiful color out here. I like that I can't see my neighbors, yet I know they're there. It's that kind of a community.

I have to fight the urge to pull my camera out pretty much every time I glance out a window.

The first thing visitors to my apartment see is the dinning room and the kitchen beyond it. The rug, chair, and table are all relatively new. I bought the table at Ikea, the rug at Urban Outfitters (I think). The chairs are Eames Eiffel shell chairs from DWR.

finally added the front splitter...will be coming off in a few weeks and hit with a different colour

Sandy is wearing the upcoming Shapes top (#4) that is a flattering asymmetric top that gets it's shape from the grain it is cut on. The lady to her right is wearing a Plus One Tunic done in rayon jersey with the seams to the right side and color blocked.

.The "Vappu" 1st May celebrations, most popular venue is Kaivopuisto or Brunnsparken, where hundreds of people congregate, mostly wearing their white caps, visible symbols of matriculation.

Many have tables and chairs (or blankets) and set them up for brunch, with champagne for drink. Some even set up pavillions. The technical students and graduates have black tassels hanging from their caps. I have my father's cap at home.

I only noticed two weeks ago that three of the technical students in the photo have their caps back to front :))

Actually, I wanted to crop this a bit to get rid of people not part of the group, but could not see any way without cutting people in half and so on.

Homework-

In my final controlled assessment of my magazine front cover, i have chosen this as my final image to then create my front cover. I chose the magazine Vogue as my magazine choice as it is fashion and beauty based and that is what i wanted my magazine front cover to look like. The final image i choose i think fits well for the purpose of the magazine theme as i have taken the picture from mid point so it is only of her upper body and face focusing in on the clothes and the natural make up she is wearing. I think the way i have laid out my image is good as i have put the image on the right side of the image allowing me to still have space on the left side for the magazine content. The colours i have chosen as the background and writing of the font are successful with each other as i have chosen a dark purple background, which for women is a very common favourite colour which would attract people, with then bold thin white font as the title cover instantly drawing people into the magazine. I have also chosen a bright pink and white for the other smaller writing on the page making sure people are still drawn to the writing but not being taken away from the title of image as i have made sure they are the main focal point. Overall, in my opinion the strengths of my magazine front cover is the layout as i have made sure the layout is successful by leaving head room and making the picture fit well next to the writing. If i were to improve this magazine front cover i would try and use natural lighting to make the image more effective.
