The Greater White-fronted Goose (Anser albifrons) is a goose species closely related to the smaller Lesser White-fronted Goose (A. erythropus). In Europe it has been known as simply "White-fronted Goose"
This species does not breed in the UK. Two races visit the UK in winter - birds that breed in Greenland and birds that breed in Siberia. The current wintering areas need protection, including avoiding drainage of traditional wintering areas in southern England.

Muskrats gather greens and take them to a "Feeding Hut" or "Feeding Platform" to eat them. This fellow was gathering a mouthful. I like the claws also....they have front feet designed for digging and back for swimming.
