This seal at the Sydney Zoo (aka Taronga Zoo) was quite friendly and interested in all the people on the other side of the glass. He was doing laps for us, coming up close and slowing down, then racing back and putting on a show. The little kids absolutely loved it. It was a hot day and I wanted to hop in the water with him.

These friendly neighbors came to see me, because they thought I had some food for them. Alas, I didn't.
I came across this friendly fellow when I was looking for the Pigeon House near Glassan. He didn't seem at all perturbed by the camera and I was playing with the camera dials, making them click so that his ears would rise and fall with the sound!
In the morning, when I was sweeping the patio, I found a toad nestled on the corner of the patio. I decided that toad + 3 year olds was probably a bad idea, so I moved him to a nearby azalea bush. When I checked on him at dinnertime, he had dug himself a hole where he was safe but could watch everyone.
sitting on my front porch at some god-awful early hour of the morning, waiting for the tow-truck to come and jumpstart my car when all of a sudden, little buddy here (whom i've never seen before in my life) jumps up onto the porch, comes over and starts rubbing up against my back and legs and just generally making himself (or herself) at home.
much friendlier than the peeping tomcat has ever been, that's for sure.
