Nothing better than exploring your own back yard. Though I've been in Denmark now for the last 8 years, Northern Arizona and Southwestern Colorado are the areas where I'm originally from and grew up. The chance to re-visit explore and photograph was a delight. These are photos from time spent with family on a road trip through the Southwest.
As always, my shots are edited with basic modifications and a quasi-NatGeo inspired aesthetic. No artificial elements added. Edited and colored for accuracy. Only cropping and lens spots removed. Most shots are single exposures.

Starflower, Trientalis europea spp arctica. This little guy set up right next to a pretty large wild rose bush. Perhaps he'll be safer with such an intimidating bodyguard. I had no intention of getting near him, that's for sure. Family Myrsinaceae.
