Trying to beat the storm home today. Started as a cloudy day with some sunshine. By early afternoon it was hailing, high winds. Had no chains or tirestraps with me. Had put them away a week ago when the weather was warm and very spring like. All the images were captured when the car was moving...
As CN 3005 climbs upgrade towards Billharte, it passes some freshly dropped ballast here on the Three Hills Sub. The trackbed can use all the support it can get here, as heavy forces in several directions impact the ground as trains wind through the many S-curves. The line does a lot of twisting and turning as it makes its way south to Calgary.

Fresh green foliage denotes Springtime at Millington Wood in East Yorkshire. Fewer wild garlic flowers in this part of the woods, one of the few areas not covered in white flowers just now.
One of those cases where the casual, impulsive shot wins over the ultra-calculated shot. A simple water drop on pine needles.
