Fresh Ballast
As CN 3005 climbs upgrade towards Billharte, it passes some freshly dropped ballast here on the Three Hills Sub. The trackbed can use all the support it can get here, as heavy forces in several directions impact the ground as trains wind through the many S-curves. The line does a lot of twisting and turning as it makes its way south to Calgary.
