Heading southbound along the W&A at the OWA 129 is CSXT Q581-18 powered by a pair of brand new rebuilds. CSXT 7251 and CSXT 4556. Both in clean YN3, but the MAC has YN3C with the CSX.com logo. All in all, the crew will run a pretty gloomy afternoon trip south towards Atlanta.
Though supermarkets have become increasingly common in most Indian cities, its still common see these vegetable vendors selling their wares going door to door and announcing their presence is a voice loud enough to be heard across the neighbourhood.

This was my first look at this little shortline, started in 2006. I was on my way back from Boone (taking in an incredible Mark and Mike Nelson slideshow at the museum there), and I'd heard and seen a few photos to show that the IARR recently acquired a new GP38 painted in a very handsome scheme. In recent years the IARR had beeing using just the trailing GP30 as their primary power, but as I understand it an uptick in traffic levels has necessitated a second unit. So I decided to hop off Highway 20 to check it out, and was not disappointed! Not only was the unit around but it was parked in a prime spot for a photo shoot. A classy shortline paint scheme and it looks great fresh.
It's getting harder and harder to find an original viewpoint to feature the world's tallest tower, Burj Khalifa.
This one, shot from the boat which traveled along the old Dubai Creek is a pretty interesting one. I loved the juxtaposition of the old world and the looming of the new one in the distance. The golden sunlight was particularly dramatic to top it off.

Had some snow today so I made sure to get out this morning and take a walk.
Taken at Victoria Park along the Reservoir Trail, in the town of Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada.
HC started with a few SD45's and geeps. These spiffy ex CN GP40-2W's arrived in 01-02. 3011 looks fresh in comparison to the trailing SD45 at Sault Ste. Marie in February 2002.

Back before 4120 brought a multitude of photographers trackside as one of two remaining F40s in revenue service on NJT...it was just another run-of-the-mill unit. Here a freshly rebuilt 4120 shoves train 5436 into Bound Brook station on the Raritan Valley Line.
