The 2nd of the two freights but the first one to leave, was headed by DFB7158 and a DXB. It berthed on the main next to the platform until it had clearance from the work site to proceed - no commuter trains were running on this line this day due to the works. Paekakariki, 22nd March 2014

With the Borealis clear, CPKC started running freights and I hung out for awhile at the end of Vermillion siding to catch them. First came another Potash train with just a single CP Gevo in command.
