Until 1970s, there used to a be a link between a freight railroad about what is now the CTA Red Line. When the agency stopped doing freight, the link was abandoned. For a while, it stood over a large parking lot near Truman College, slowly overgrowing with grass. But recently, a new costruction demolished the bulk of the abandoned connector, leaving a small stub. This is it.
