Yesterday was the perfect day to visit the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay--crisp autumn air and overcast skies to capture the lovely colors. Wonderful day! I'll return in the spring to see the tulips.

It's done nothing but rain all day today (obviously, it's bank holiday weekend) but there's something about the summer storms that really brings out the fresh smell of everything : the patio (which has lots of pots of herbs) was positively fragrant, and very timely for today's set challenge topic.
