This was my first rose out this year . Beautiful to see & a delight to smell ,also a very healthy cultivar. This is a new plant , a standard in my new garden. I grew this rose ,in bush form , for many years (over 30 ) in my previous garden ,so I know that I can rely on it .

Now for some orchids.

Vanda is a genus in the orchid family (Orchidaceae) which, although not massive (about eighty species), is one of the genera more commonly found in the market place. This genus and its allies are considered to be among the most specifically adapted of all orchids within Orchidaceae.

The genus is highly prized in horticulture for its showy, fragrant, long lasting, and intensely colorful flowers.

Vanda is widespread across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and New Guinea, with a few species extending into Queensland and some of the islands of the western Pacific. The genus is sometimes abbreviated as V. in the floral trade. - Wikipedia

"Socată" or "Suc de Soc" is a traditional Romanian soft drink made from the flowers of the European elder (or elderberry) shrub, Sambucus nigra (Soc in Romanian). It may be non-alcoholic or, usually, low-alcoholic, and can be carbonated or non-carbonated, depending on the fermentation type and duration. It is produced by the natural fermentation of elder flowers in a lemon and sugar or (traditionally) honey solution.

And it's delicious!

I think these yellow azaleas are the only sweet smelling azaleas in our garden. I have them flowering under my bedroom window, and they are so lovely! As they fade the honeysuckle takes over ... beautiful evening scents!

From north Texas, delicate, fragrant blooms of spring I share with you, along with a little touch of blue.

Large fragrant orchid flowers blooming now in the garden.

Wild garlic at its peak. I like the aroma, but I know others don't - and I have to keep an eye on our little dog for whom it's bad news!

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

A quiet bloom of Hosta ‘Fragrant Blue’.

Hosta (Plantain lily, ’Giboushi’ in Japanese) is a genus of flowering plants in the asparagus family. ‘Fragrant Blue' has powdery blue-green leaves and fragrant pale-lavender flowers, suggesting that this lovely cultivar is descended from Hosta plantaginea native to China and Hosta sieboldiana native to Japan.
