This rose has a slew of well-deserved awards, including the Gamble Fragrance Award in 1970 and World's Favorite Rose in 1981. The scent is intense, lush and fruity, and the flowers are big, many-petaled, and gorgeous. Even its buds are fragrant!

STUDIO WEATHER!

We always have a smaller studio in our home, in between things there is time for some of my favourite photography, playing with lights...

Went to the 'end of the market' for a cheap deal on flowers (my props), 6 bunches for £ 2, chose from whatever is left. I was fortunate, blue Irises, blue Hyacinths, pink Tulips, Tiger Lilies, what a delight, they perfume our whole house!

One of the many different compositions and combinations I tried.

Thanx, M, (*_*)

Fragrant Wintersweet grows flourish in the Summer

At Alligator River NWR. I took this from a boardwalk that runs over a nifty stretch of blackwater river swamp. The water looks like strong tea. Remarkably, there were very few mosquitoes out on the boardwalk, but lots of annoying deerflies.

Fragrant pears are fairly small and roughly oval, with long stems. The light green or yellow skin, with a reddish blush on some fruits, is thin and readily edible; the flesh is extraordinarily tender, crisp and juicy. The flavor is delicate, and different from that of most Asian pears, with a whiff of perfume. These may be eaten plain and ejoyed off the stem.

Stay tuned to see what I dreamed up...
