Rosa 'Fragrant Cloud' is still blooming in my garden on October 24! It's hard to believe but the temperature was just under 25C today. Unfortunately as so often happens in Calgary a cold front will cross the city tonight with the high being only 5C tomorrow. PA243480bib

An alley with several churches, this street was originally called Pagoda Alley. It was renamed Hang Ah Alley or Fragrant Alley, supposedly after a German chemist moved in and opened a perfume shop. Stories that it also referred to prostitutes that frequented the street are unsubstantiated, as are stories this area is haunted.
