but i never thought i'd live to see

I intended to submit a photo of the iris for the challenge fragile.
Unintentionally I smashed the glass which was holding the Iris by knocking it to the floor. Rather than just throw the glass away I decided to include it in my fragile offering.
These are eggs of the Marianas eight spot butterfly, endemic to Guam and an endangered species. The two green ones on the left are still viable. The four clear ones perhaps emerged, though they weren't present. The last one is probably parasitized.
The flames licked... but Sparrow’s heart remained cool within. Her memories felt as fragile and short-lived as the bright autumn leaves 🔥

Porcelain holy skeleton doll by @zu.luminousdoll 🌹
A very delicate Belleek cream pitcher that belonged to my wife's grandmother. No idea when this was made, but we've had it for about 40 years. For 119 pictures in 2019, #47, "fragile". Also for 2019: one photo each day (4/365). Belleek is an Irish porcelain maker. The material is "parian porcelain" and has a slightly iridescent appearance. Belleek is characterized by its thinness.
A rare work for the dictionary.
Sorry about my absence lately, major pool housekeeping at Textures for Layers has been keeping me busy, thankfully all done now :-)

i love her slight messy hair. It was a bit breezy today. I know a lot of people find human hair reroots creepy or weird. But I really love the way they photograph. SCRUMPTIOUS!

I found this fragile plume caught between barb wire when walking to work and I just loved the contrast between the two. Straight vs bent, sharp vs soft and man made vs nature.
