Met een stevige paal als basis stapelt deze meneer steen voor steen op elkaar. Ziet er heel fragiel uit. Het is hier nu nog maar een een-steens-muurtje en je kijkt er dwars doorheen.
Ik heb - voor het eerst - met deze man een praatje gemaakt. Hij weet dat de storm en sommige personen zijn stapelwerk vernielen maar hij blijft telkens opnieuw bouwen. "Je kunt het zien als mijn hobby".
Ik heb hem deze zomer vaker gezien maar heeft een vrij onbenaderbare uitstraling, als hij niet aan het bouwen is zit hij achter een parasol strak voor zich uit te staren.... mediteren?

gusts of wind 40 miles and hour will make you feel very small and fragile. It was raining, windy and cold the whole day but let up just long enough for me to get a few shots.
I would watch as people would arrive and get all excited to walk on the beach, but once they were out there most were ill prepared for the cold wind and would run for cover about a minute later.
It's like a globe. With a little imagination you can see the deformed contours of Europe and Africa.
Earth is not as fragile as this soap bubble, but we should definitely take better care of it. There is no planet B!

I'm going to have to be very careful with this plant. The deer love these so it will be fenced for a long time. The leaves will stay this colour which makes them very appealing!

I have never done this before - funny thing.... :-)
