Some things are so very fragile, and yet so very strong, all in the same lifetime.

Image made with my Nikon F100.

Fragile!

Be very careful with this!

This is my daughter again, having fun in lots and lots of those foam chips that they put in parcels with fragile objects. There is some deeper meaning though. She's small, tiny actually. And thin. With such a big heart, which is so easily hurt. She, and her development, *is* fragile.

I haven't been updating this account in some time. Mostly due to an increase in Photography work. Still, this is what I like to do the most: Just goof around.

At any given moment in our lives, there are certain things

that could have heppened but, didn’t.

The magic moments go unrecognized, and

then suddenly, the hand of destiny changes everything.

How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?

Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?

I hope that if you ever find my stream..I hope you don't think this is dedicated to you, because it's not.

Cliche? Maybe.

Since brass, nor stone, nor earth, nor boundless sea,

But sad mortality o’ersways their power,

How with this rage shall beauty hold a plea,

Whose action is no stronger than a flower?

O! how shall summer’s honey breath hold out,

Against the wrackful siege of battering days,

When rocks impregnable are not so stout,

Nor gates of steel so strong but Time decays?

O fearful meditation! where, alack,

Shall Time’s best jewel from Time’s chest lie hid?

Or what strong hand can hold his swift foot back?

Or who his spoil of beauty can forbid?

O! none, unless this miracle have might,

That in black ink my love may still shine bright.

from a wonderful shooting yesterday with the fabulous Jen :)

We all are just fragile things...

ok i seriously seriously hate this photo... i effin hate when i have a photo in my mind and it turns out completely different to what i imagined it! :( i guess it happens...

that's sorta how i come up with my photos, either i dream them or i randomly have like a mental picture and that's how my ideas are created, mainly ran by emotions and personal experiences...

but tell me... how do you come up with your photos? i mean what drives you? i don't even how you elaborate the freaking question.

i literally just took this 5 minutes ago and i've had a headache all day :( really bad... i do feel... fragile.

anyways have an amazing weekend everyone!

Without solitude of some sort there is and can be no maturity. Unless one becomes empty and alone, he cannot give himself in love because he does not possess the deep self which is the only gift worthy of love. And this deep self, we immediately add, cannot be possessed. My deep self is not “something” which I acquire, or to which I “attain” after a long struggle. It is not mine, and cannot become mine. It is no “thing”—no object. It is “I.” The shallow “I” of individualism can be possessed, developed, cultivated, pandered to, satisfied: it is the center of all our strivings for gain and for satisfaction, whether material or spiritual. But the deep “I” of the spirit, of solitude, and of love cannot be “had,” possessed, developed, perfected. It can only be, and act according to deep inner laws which are not of man’s contriving, but which come from God.

- Thomas Merton, “Notes for a Philosophy of Solitude”
