I was not ready for this and my camera was not ready(its early in the morning) - this is my first fox .
This fox sparrow flew up from its normal grounded hunting, then decided that the higher vantage didn't offer much, so it descended back to the ground. At Commonwealth Lake today.
Same fox as yesterday, sitting in a little patch of sun before spotting me and then disappearing behind the bushes!
This is fairly cropped to get a better look at him, or her.

Another shot from my first day in Peelee in 2017; we rented a B&B and it had a cottage that was located beside a small valley full of apple trees in blossom. It was full of Baltimore Orioles, a few cardinals, and a fox den - - we got a lot of bang for the buck I'd say.
Baltimore Oriole (Male) - eating pollen from apple blossoms
Found this fox walking along the rocky beach of the Beaufort Sea. Not sure what it would be hunting for among the gravel, but its head was down and sniffing as it walked along. At one point, it marked a piece of driftwood, so it must hunt this beach often. The Arctic Fox numbers are down this year, so it was a treat to find this one.
Red Fox kit
This Kit and several other Kits had been hanging out in a dirt pile in my back yard and this part was cool, I got to take photos of them while I was sitting in the house!

A young red fox kit practicing his glare on me,lol.
The red fox is the largest of the true foxes and one of the most widely distributed members of the order Carnivora, being present across the entire Northern Hemisphere including most of North America, Europe and Asia, plus parts of North Africa. It is listed as least concern by the IUCN. Wikipedia
