We were in the Point hide. This chap (?) appeared on the left at the water's edge. This is the first time I have seen a fox in daylight, this close; so indulge me, that you have all the shots here... had to do some tweaking as the light was shade /bright & sun the wrong side of him...

An early spring morning encounter with Carcross' popular red fox. The fox is often seen near the community's post office and downtown core.

We have all sorts of wildlife in our yard throughout the year, but this is the first year I have seen a pair of beautiful red foxes, a mom and her pup. One of them is limping badly so I will call the Dept. of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife in the morning. I've been trying to get them in my lens all winter, and it finally happened this evening when my husband spotted them and called out to me. Aren't they beautiful?

This friendly fox's comfort with humans allowed me to get within feet to take this portrait. He regularly appeared at the mountain-top condos I stayed at. Check out the eyes,
