I saw my brother do his 365 days project and i thought why not try it but a little less than 365 coz by then i would've ran out of ideas, so i started the 52 weeks project here's my first photo of the week :)

88009 and 88010 provide the traction for the 6M38 Torness-Sellafield flasks on Friday 29th June 2018.
In recent months this service has been a regular via the Tyne valley rather than it's previous routing of Carstairs and the WCML. With the train passing this area around 16:45 there was just enough time to depart work and beat the traffic to get to a suitable spot.
The location is Merryshields just east of Stocksfield station.

As a counterbalance to a previous offering here we see Class 68 locomotives Nos. 68002 Intrepid and 68004 Rapid speeding away from Chelvey Bridge in North Somerset with 6Z74, the 05:25 Crewe Coal Sidings (Drs) to Bridgwater F.D empty flask working on Thursday 14th May 2020.
The flasks in question are on their way to Hinkley Point power station in Somerset, where they will be loaded with spent nuclear fuel rods before returning to the reprocessing facility at Sellafield in Cumbria.
This working, which at the time of this photograph was running twice a week, has run infrequently since early June, if at all. But now, strangely enough, it has suddenly appeared again this very day.

Unusually the bank holiday weekend was accompanied by both sunshine and some Tyne Valley freight.
The weekly Seaton-Sellafield flasks maintained it's Monday schedule and although the morning eastbound run was accompanied by rain and cloud the afternoon return ran in sunshine.
The two semaphores in the distance are controlled from Haydon Bridge signal box.

With an afternoon off in hand I noted that the Seaton-Sellafield flasks was running (with an outbound service from Carlisle to Seaton having traversed the Tyne Valley in the morning).
The weather was sunny so I headed out to Stocksfield to pick up the return working.
As is traditional with such matters the sun went in a few minutes before the train went through (and remained firmly behind cloud until after this and the light engine movement in the opposite direction had passed).
No matter - With 66's looking to have picked up the RHTT work on the Tyne Valley this year it's a chance to get some 37's on freight work. 37259 heads 37602 with the 6M60 Seaton to Sellafield on the 8th October 2015.
A flask is being transferred from road transporter to an FNA flatrol via an overhead crane in the Torness Nuclear power station compound near Barns on 1 December 2011. 57008 and 57010 (out of shot) are in attendance.
The 50te AGR Mk A2 flasks were similar in appearance to the older generation of cuboid designs but they did have some marked visual differences - aimed at protection of their lid seals - and it can be seen here why - when operators at Sellafield first encountered them - they nicknamed them “batflasks”.
Three 37`s on one train! 37 604 & 218 leads the 6Z68 1008 Willesden Brent DRS to Southminster CEGB service through Stratford. 37 608 was on the rear. 37 604 & 218 were on the front.

This working hasn't run loaded in a long time and even more unusual was the fact that the train in the preceeding block was also a flask train...

This morning I set off south and noticed the 6K73 Sellafield BNF to Crewe Coal Sidings flasks were running mega early. I nipped to Charnock Richard, where 68017 led 68034, 68016 & 68001.

The search for an occurrence can be difficult, because the reed flask is usually located in nature reserves.
In general, "reed" is understood to mean not only location-specific the characteristic bank zones of many lakes, which serve as a breeding area for rare bird species with their dense, halm-like vegetation. The upper term also serves as a general description of all plants, which spread in the swampy subsoil (usually with an acid environment) and are cut in dried form as a decoration element or as a material for protective mats and roof coverings. While tube-tubes and reeds differ quite in their appearance, both genera belong to the family of the sweet-grasses (Poaceae).
The dried pretreated seed can be used to produce scale.
A very late running 6S43 is seen passing Seton on the 7th December 2017.
This train started out with a pair of 68's, 68018+68030, and passed Beattock 10 minutes early at 0654. However just north of Beattock the pair failed due to communication failure between the two loco's whilst working in multiple. This pair of 66's were summoned from Kingmoor to rescue the stricken train. Watching on Railcam I noticed the pair of 66's pushed the train to the loop at Beattock Summit. I also noticed after a while an 0S43 heading back south to Kingmoor.
So in the cold we see the rescue loco's, 66423+66425, working the very late 0623 Kingmoor-Torness Flask train. 66423 has obviously been on RHTT duties seen by the colour of it.
They are seen at 1328, 225 minutes late.
On the return working this train went to Sellafield via Newcastle and the Tyne Valley line.
Thanks to JP for alerting me to this late working and Marra Man for some of the details.
