Is for humans & dogs

The silver part at the bottom screws off, and is a water bowl for your dog to have a drink of water, as you enjoy a nice hot coffee whilst out and about.

We always take a bottle of water with us for our dogs.

Tracey got it yesterday from Costco.

This ornate flask was made to carry finely ground gun powder for the priming of gun locks. The intricate carvings of hunting hounds and game animals locked in mortal combat indicate it was probably used with a hunting rifle.

Upon arrival to Sellafield the used fuel rods will be processed and stored there long term. Note the use of 3 FNA flasks, somthing that hasn't happened since 2021 making for a nice change to the usual one or two.

DRS' 88003 and 88007 await time at Crewe as they near the end of their journey through North Wales.

The pair were working 6K41 to Crewe Coal Sidings with a pair of flask wagons loaded with nuclear rods from Wylfa Power Station. The nuclear material would ultimately end up at the Sellafield nuclear decommissioning site.

With that round thing on top of this building, it reminded me of those flask. Also, it was the same shape of the bottle of alcohol Travis brought over on his trip.

Having hoped it would be a flask train, it was disappointing to find out it would be a rake of JNA's. However, it gave me the chance to see one of DRS's new locos. Here, 66091 passes Rugeley Trent Valley with 6Z73 Sellafield BNF to Wembley TC, with 20 JNA's in tow.

Flasks and escort coach to Devonport Royal Dockyard, for nuclear submarine servicing. At date of posting I don't think the flasks have come back, and if I knew the date I couldn't tell you! Escort coaches (ie armed guards) are only used when high grade nuclear material, eg spent fuel, is being carried. Though in all probability the flasks were empty on the run down and will be full on return.

With the planned move for the 57s caped due to light engines we razzed back to Eskmeals in good time to see 612 and 716 on 6K73. I would have preferred 716 on the front but I won't be saying that in a few months if all the /6s disappear from DRS traffic.

37069 and 37059 make a fine racket heading through Wylam with the Friday morning 6E44 Kingmoor to Seaton empty flask service.

The locomotives will pass through later in the afternoon with loaded flasks to be taken to Sellafield for reprocessing.
