I've been pondering doing some art nude photography in a vintage style, and was reminded about this having seen alafoto.com/?p=4937 - so brought out my bodycap pinhole "lens".
With an effective aperture of around f/256, this was going to require a lot of light! And with an APS-C sensor, field of view was quite narrow. In the end, even for an extreme close-up there was not enough light from my two flashes for an ISO100 exposure. I may have to rethink my retro-art-nude plans...
1/125th, ISO320, and two Speedlites (580ex II and 430ex II) on full power. Using a bodycap pinhole "lens".
Placed necklace and earrings on the granite top in bathroom--it is a light pink--used a flash. I didn't edit because all that did was make the pearls seem yellow and muted the light pink. It's okay, but still not what I wanted. I didn't realize that shooting jewelry was so difficult.

A coworker recommended this one to me, and I'm really glad I read it.
Realistic depiction of todays teens. It could have had a sappy happy ending, but it didn't - I liked that. Life isn't so pretty or packaged neatly like so many books make it seem.
Blake is a great character - cocky, yet so unsure of himself.
I really liked the photography slant of the book too (of course!)
And the author didn't take the setting (Portland) and turn it into a trendy hipster bragging poing, like another book I tried to read last year and couldn't finish.
Highly recommended for mature 9th graders and older, who like current "real life" stories.
On our way back to Toronto from Fort Lauderdale we had a chance to watch an Impressive show put by Mother Nature. Somewhere near Pittsburgh.

James flash lamp, c.1880's. The only reference I have been able to locate is in the book "Colorado on Glass" in which it is pictured as a page decoration.
Uprated to a 580EX II and it works with my now elderly Transistor pack E as well as being the master controller to the 430EX in slave mode.
It took ages to find a TP battery magazine as this used to be a nicad pack (long since dead) but thanks to the guys at FFordes for comming up trumps, and 7dayshop for selling C to AA convertors at 50p each: total boost as i can use AA NiMh instead of zinc chloride C types.
Only down side is it takes 14 AA's to run this lot
