The colorful spiked fins of the Lion Fish (Pterois) are venomous. Not usually fatal to humans, but can cause them to be very sick and uncomfortable. They have been known to be fatal to young children and older adults. Mostly found in the Indo-Pacific, but were accidentally introduced to the Atlantic in the 1990's. They can now be found off the East coast of the United States. I am not swimming in the ocean ever again..!
