The shapes of the steel fish in Fish Globe are based on a variety of trout native to the area. This variety if trout gathers in “schools,” an unusual characteristic for most trout species. There are 600 fish in the giant globe, located near the water pond used for fishing at Tingley Beach.

This is my second machine tattoo. Its a flathead (very tasty fish). Its supposed to be translucent so you can see the bones and the flesh a bit too. Having a go at shading, had to stop before i really wanted to so i didnt damage the skin too much. Will have to see how it heals then go back in for a re-touch i think.
My daughter and I stopped in this restaurant in Bass Pro Sports - they've this huge fish tank and to clean it on has to scuba dive.
I would love to get an old wood carving block, but this is the best I can do so far. I don't think it is that old (totally ignorant). It is fixed to a block of hardwood, probably mahogany 10/8ths inch x 3.5 inch x 2 inch.
Patrick fished for the cycle. That's right: A Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout, and Bass. We ate 'em all. My favorite was the Northern. Although, I was afraid of its teeth.
Snorkling off Lord Howe Island. We are swealtering here 37C today and tomorrow 38C (that's around 100F) so I decided to cool off with some more of my underwater shots.
The colours are just amazing down here under the water!
Close-up of the fish (destined to become sushi) at the pond in front of a sushi restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City. The pond was being cleaned (slightly drained then refilled).
I rather liked this angry fishy, though I can't recall now what this statue was all about. Presumably it is some kind of memorial/dedication to Japanese fishermen or something as it's by a canal in Tokyo.
That's a streetlight behind the statue that appears like the lure of an Anglerfish. Red LED headlamp sitting in the mouth of the fish.
