I used to shoot a lot of weddings but with so many bridezillas becoming empowered by magazines and TV shows, plus my messed up thoracic back, I really only go to weddings as a guest.
Sadie Mae's first time going thru a car wash with me.
She was so inquisitive and relaxed.

Rudy is now 13 weeks old and had his first real photo session today. He wasn't too thrilled!! This little puppy is always moving and he doesn't like to take orders!! He finally resigned himself to behaving for a few minutes...but you can see he wasn't too happy. This is such a typical stubborn doxie look! "You will pay for this later!"
We love him dearly and he has become the boss of the house.

For the first few moments, sunrise looked dull with no colours at all. Then, the sun broke through the clouds and I was blessed with this gorgeous light. I couldn't stop clicking. Ideally, I wanted to change my filter to create an even longer exposure, but was concerned that the light is going to change any minute.
Wishing all my flickr friends a wonderful Christmas and a great new year ahead.

Our family stopped at a small rest stop at a tiny "town" called Last Chance in eastern Colorado, and while the family were, um, resting in the little portapotties, I spotted this orchard oriole nearby, my first shot of one of these orioles!

"Where I live the open space of desire is red. The desert before me is red is rose is pink is scarlet is magenta is salmon. The colors are swimming in the light constantly, with cloud cover with rain with wind with light, delectable light, delicious light. The palette of erosion is red, is running red water, red river, my own blood flowing downriver; my desire is red. The landscape can be read. A flight of birds. A flight of words. Red-winged blackbirds are flocking the river in spring. In cattails, they sing and sing; on the riverback, they glisten.
Can we learn to speak the language of red?'

I had my 'first warbler' visit taking a bath in my backyard fountain. I had seen it a few days before, briefly, and without a camera. This day he spent quite some time enjoying the water. Heading out to Half Moon Bay this morning for a couple of days will catch up when I return.
I believe this is a Orange-crowned Warbler.
Thank you for your visit and comments...have a wonderful day.

I recently had the occasion to travel to upstate New York with my wife to visit ourt oldest grandson. He is a first-year at RIT in Rochester and I knew I might be able to work in a little RR photography as well, especially with the ALCo populated roster of the LA&L. After getting some lunch with him in between classes on 11/10/25, my wife and I started south to hopefully catch the northbound road train. The early snowfall contrasted against the waining fall colors but I lucked out finding the job switching near the Barilla plant in Avon. After adding to his train, and tieing up the town for a short time he would head north up to the Rochester area at Genesee Jct.
