For the first time in UK history, a coalition of unions came together in a day of action against outsourcing. By using outsourcing companies, employers are able to offer some workers far worse pay, holiday entitlements, sick pay and pension contributions than directly employed staff. The demonstration coincided with a court case between the IWGB union, the government and the University of London which, if successful, could allow the UK's 3.3 million outsourced workers to negotiate directly with their de-facto employers.
The protest started at Senate House, University of London, where cleaners and security staff are in dispute, before heading to the Royal Courts of Justice, Parliament Square, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and ending outside the Ministry of Justice where the cleaners are in dispute. It was organised by the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB), United Voices of the World (UVW), Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) and the RMT.

Not bad, but not perfect. I plied these two singles because they were weak. Not a lot of overspin, which is good, but some pretty weak spots. Getting better, but still need to work on it. I'll keep you posted.

First time walking to / from Llanthony from Longtown; two good new routes up onto Hatterrall Ridge courtesy of JP.
Route: Footpaths from Longtown up onto Hatterrall Ridge, down to Llanthony on the Beer Track, lunch accompanied by a Double Caramel Magnum from The Cellar Bar (yum yum), then the steep track back up onto the Ridge, south for a bit to a pile of stones then dropping off on another path back to Longtown.
A lot of walking through bracken on the Longtown side, and the turn off for the path down was tricky to spot and the trail through the bilberries and heather tricky to follow in contrast to all the other paths / tracks.
HOT.
