First-Time photos on Flickr

My favourite ska band: Less Than Jake!!!!!!!!! Ooh, I get shivers thinking about how much I love them. This is the first time they have headlined a show Vancouver in six years - a show that was at the Croatian Cultural Centre which I also went to. I made sure to grab tickets early, and I actually grabbed three too many (though I did manage to sell them all in the end, phew) because I was so excited.

Openers were *The Real Deal*, *The Flatliners*, and *Reel Big Fish*, though it definitely felt like Reel Big Fish were co-headlining. It was a fun, and very energetic show. Less Than Jake were extremely entertaining and interacted with the crowd a lot, which is something I always appreciate of bands. Their set list was also 75% from the two albums I LOVE which freakin ROCKED. I also got to meet the band (see photo below), which sweetened the evening that much more.

Reel Big Fish - they were also fanfuckingtastic. I would say they are pretty iconic in the world of Third Wave Ska and it was a privilege to see them. Their set list contained many crowd favourites, my two favourite being *Sellout* (their first song) and *Beer* (their second-to-last song). There may have even been more people at the Commodore to see RBF than LTJ... but I know I was definitely there for the latter.

it snowed for the first time this winter today. i felt like i needed to capture something, even if it was a small something.

i have a lot on my plate, but since i decided to stop using my tumblr and continue to forget about my facebook, i've been obsessing over flickr...mostly kelly havens reed and bailey kopp. they are such amazing photographers and girls in general, and i'm just really inspired by them at the moment. i hope to take more photos as the winter goes on. in fact, on friday i'm baking cookies with my close friends so i hope to take photos then. don't think i forgot about you, flickr. you're on my list. it's just that my photos recently have been...well...nonexistent and lame. lame as in, photo class lame.

hopefully you're enjoying the christmas lights and cheer. i bought all my presents on saturday. happy monday. xx

New Year's Eve Fireworks 2015 by Andrew Addy

First time photographing fireworks. Taken at the Adventure Aquarium overlooking the city of Philadelphia PA. Sony a-200 at ISO100, F22, with kit zoom lens at 18mm. I started with 30 second exposures but became too cluttered. Six seconds was enough for each burst of fireworks.
