We walked through Kismet and Saltaire to Fair Harbor, then back to Kismet for lunch. Then back to the car, all told about six and a half miles.

At a firepit after skiing.
Not much happened during the weekend. Just some skiing and idling at a fire.
It's always fun to leave camera somewhere on interval mode taking pictures by itself.
Here I used 2sec shutter to capture sparks from the fire. Sparks make fire look more lively. 4sec would have been even better, but if there are humans (me) in the picture they'll get blurry.
Had to make this unnecessary big fire as there was only a saw but no axe. With round wood the fire needs to burn extra hot. So made "a bit" bigger fire then.
16-35mm is handy for interval mode photos, at 16mm it's wide enough to include just about everything. Just crop the photo afterwards. Here I've left about 60% of the pixels.
There was a strange lock-up with my A7RV though. I guess the -8C temperature caused issues. I wonder how it will handle the winter, and will I need to swap (again) to my A7RII with a powerback and a dummy battery adapter.

Adam at a Fire Arts party at the Crucible, a school of fire in Berkeley (welding, glass blowing, fire eating, fire twirling, etc.)
Amazingly, people were driving by down Lake street as if nothing was happening. Maybe it was because it was a Friday! Camera: Pentax PC35AF. Film: Kodak color print. Scanner: Nikon Coolscan V ED.
From a trip to the Old Fort Erie (National historic site) "All Hallows Eve" tour in 2010.
I've taken a few years off from this tour as each year seemed like a photo copy of the previous one.
I might give it a try this year in the hope theres something slightly new.
