So I just got my first roll of film developed.
I was experimenting with the light leak and I ruined 5 other pictures. lol
But who cares! It was my first time shooting with film and I'm happy with the results.
You can see my other shots on my fb.
I'm thinking of starting a project 52 week on my birthday (june 26) but only with film..
Just because I don't want to have film in my 365 project.
EDIT: as for now I will just post what i like :)

Going through some old photos and came across my film photos taken with my Canon AE-1. Such a great old camera, I love it! This photo was taken while I was at university. There was a café that my house-mates and I would always go to for a cake after a hard days shop..err I mean study! Those were the days!
“The rule is, jam tomorrow and jam yesterday-but never jam today
It must come sometime to jam today, Alice objected
No it can't said the Queen It's jame every other day. Today isn't any other day, you know”

When I entered my name into Pinterest it came up with cards of parachute cord (kind of like the cards we wind floss around). I knew I wanted to do multiple colors of paper and either a square or rectangle. I also saw a NSD sketch on the Jillibean blog today that used rectangles and stars, so that added to the inspiration.
The photo is one of those that I took for our self-portraits on Tuesday, so I'm scrapping myself twice this week.

My in-law's house. I really really love the light in this room.
We've had the best day- Vietnamese food, Despicable Me at the theatre, and stocking up on groceries. Tonight it's curry chicken salad, strawberry shortcake, and margaritas. But for now, a little rest.
I am getting myself motivated to finish the NYIP Photo course I started 2 and 1/2 years ago so am working on Unit 3 now and one of the assignments we have to send in is a backlighting shot so I tried for some today and this is one of the options, and although I like the shot I think I need to keep trying as although it meets the backlighting criteria I dont like it for the following reasons
I would prefer to have more space in from of the cameraman (unfortunatly that wasnt an option as there were other people signs etc in the way)
Secondly I find the top left corner distracting and takes away from the shot
Any feedback or thoughts would be really appreciated
But it was good getting out and trying, and will try again tomorrow to get a better shot
The epic battle continues!

Whilst wandering around Kingsand we stumbled across a film set at the far end of the village. Several houses had been repainted and 'dressed' for a new film about the artist JMW Turner, directed by Mike Leigh.
Filming wasn't underway at the time, so visitors were allowed to walk across the set and take photos.
