Color film photography carries an emotion. Subtle tonal and chromatic shifts change the atmosphere of the image thus affect a change in the mood of the viewer.
Film renders the scene in a Sfumato manner, softening contours and forms rather than the sharp edged contrasty digital photos.

It's a nice emulsion, but having seen KodaChrome images and photos printed in the CarBro manner and CibaChrome dye process I am left wanting.
Addendum: I am pleasantly surprised that this shot was well accepted. I happened to like it very much, but didn’t think what I saw would translate to the viewer. Which goes to prove what Henry Winkler said: “Always trust your tummy. You can argue with your mind, but always trust your tummy.” Great saying.
Normanton church on a grey day, this was flooded when the reservoir was filled and is a short drive from my house. Very popular place for a photo.

One of the three sides of New Square in Cambridge, which is a pleasant green space with these nice old terraces round it. I believe it is owned by Jesus College, I used to live in number 31 which is behind the camera here.

The weir at Tinwell pumping station on the river Welland. There is a nice little bank-side area to the left where people sometimes sit and watch the water go by, picnic, etc. About 20 minutes walk from my house.

The current business has been in this location since 1979, but the workshop and house date back to 1600, and the workshop has been used as a wheelwrights, carpenters, general builders and undertakers in that time. Another photo from a wander around Castle Bytham in the sunshine.
