I used two white boards, one as the background and the other was placed on the right side to bounce light to the subject. Setting this was fun and stressful. I used window light. I used a small plate, flipped it over and placed the cutie on top. Overall I really like how it came out.
I like how the white paper I used to block some of the sunlight brung a little shade onto the photo. I also like the object I used for the photo I would improve on my angles.
We had to decorate and fill a matchbox with items that would represent our country/state, and make our partners feel as if they visited that country.
I imagined that my parner visited a 4th of July party - the colors red, white and blue would be everywhere. So I included a few beads and sparkly bits in that color motif. I also included a hamburger and hotdog bead, cause Americans love their food. The bowling pin represents our love of lazy sports (just kidding, I bowl a lot, it's hard work). The gun because we're obsessed with cowboys (and we're gun crazy). There are also some hearts {cause we <3 America} and an apple button {cause sewing is as American as apple pie}.
The matchbox is covered in red felt and stars.
