Early February and the snowdrops are appearing in all the village church yards up and down the UK. This is St Etheldreda in the village of West Halton in North Lincolnshire.
The snowdrops will soon give way to the daffodils and I may be back to photograph those in March.

There are more than 200 species of American Tanagers. The Flame-rumped Tanager (Ramphocelus flammigerus) is a common Thraupidae (Tanager) that is resident in Panamá, Colombia, Ecuador and a small area of northern Peru. They are about 18 cm (7 inches) in length. The Flame-rumped Tanager inhabits forests edges, parks and gardens normally below 2,000 meters but in Colombia I have seen this species at 2,300 meters (7,700 feet) above sea level.

February 17, 2017 at KM 18, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. This is a female Long-tailed Sylph (Aglaiocercus kingii). The Long-tailed Sylph is found in the forests of the Andes in Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia at 1500 to 2500 meters above sea level.
*Compare to the male in the adjacent post.
This was the sky last Wednesday, it's been grey and overcast ever since.

This shot was taken this morning. Feeling all the Monday blues, overwhelmed looking at the week ahead, as well as the week behind. Struggling to stay in the moment.
It's now well after getting home from work and the chiropractor and I still haven't gotten myself centered. I just burned a pan of sliced almonds I was toasting. I sat here and, literally - at least twice (probably more) - thought, who's cooking something? what's cooking? And none of those times did I think, oh - I am!
I'm going to try to get to bed soon. Hopefully, getting a good night's sleep will help tomorrow.
This shot is for The Hereios' theme, How are you feeling today?!
And today's shot is also for February's Alphabet Fun: 2017 Edition; F is for Feelings.
And last, but not least, for Our Daily Challenge, Mood Lighting.

Moustached Puffbird (Malacoptila mystacalis). A silent medium-sized bird about 8 inches (20cm), that is difficult to find in dark, moist forest undergrowth. They perch 7 to 20 feet (2 to 6 meters) above ground throughout the Andes of Venezuela and Colombia from 800 to 1,500 meters ( 2,600 to 4,900 feet) above sea level.
. . . My assignment for the Lakeshore Camera Club last month was panorama! This is a cell phone pano of Otter Creek, just off Esch Road beach on Lake Michigan about 5 miles south of Empire. The creek has lost it's sharp 90 degree turn and now flows directly into the big lake!
I tried a 4 shot pano of the same thing in Photoshop, and dark lines came in at the boarders of the individual frames, have no reason why?
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!
Driving westbound US-50 east of Strong City, experiencing a brief gap in the foggy conditions, as the sun showed up briefly and I was able to see some blue sky.

This is what I envision Hurricane Irma left behind. A bad perm from all the wind may last a while. Taken on Black Point Drive in February 2017
24th February 2017:
A rather busy day today for us both, so while I had the chance I rushed into the garden and took a quick photo of the new shoots on the Red Robin bush.
Not very inspiring but better than having to find another inside photo, it's not raining today either!

One of two more vacation shots taken last February 2017. Just as a break from the winter that has been hammering Toronto recently.
Thanks for visiting, enjoy your Sunday
Saw the palm tree and all this fruit on my walk this morning. Though it was worth a photo as I've not seen them before.

The Californian Lilac is beginning to flower down in the lower car park. It's just so pretty.

Saw this little spider on a house wall. It was a bit high up but I did my best to get a macro shot of it.

This is St Peters and St Paul in the tiny Lincolnshire village of Kettlethorpe. Combing my liking of church and snowdrop photography in one.
Winter branches with some of that lovely blue stuff.

Snowdrop season and I find myself crawling around the undergrowth once again for photos of the nice little white 'uns.
View the image full size and see a few strands of spiders web attached to either side of the flower.
Took this awhile ago and have been meaning to upload it. As it's Thursday I thought I'd add it for Gorgeous Green Thursday.
However comments on how it looks would be great as I took risks taking it almost straight into the sun.
