These stairs belong to a house that looks as though it's now not lived in. Now I just need to with the Euro Millions as it's a house with a view.
Here's the whole house:

It's not just snowdrops that I've been photographing out in the woods. There are some nice crocus flowers out there too this time of the year.
Lovely yellow blooms on a beautiful blue sky. Not many flowers yet, but the're coming up.

El Ensueño, QuindÃo, Colombia.
The Red-headed Barbet (Eubucco bourcierii) is foraging in a guava tree. It's a colorful bird appearing at El Ensueño routinely each day between 7:00 am and 10:00. Their range extends from the forests of Costa Rica and Panama through the Andes as far south as northern Peru. Its overall length is about 16.5 cm (6.6 inches). The Red-headed Barbet's diet consists mainly of fruits, but they also forage insects and other arthropods.
20th February 2017:
Damp and revolting here today with horribly fine rain that gets you soaked, so I stayed inside. Although it looks like it might cheer up later, when I won't have time to get out.
I grabbed the first thing that I noticed which was Rufus's brush. When we adopted him he arrived with a glove to brush him with, he hates it, so we gave him Bonnie's old brush, which he loves.
Brigette used to scratch him rather than stroking him and he spends a lot of time scratching himself as she would have done. Our Vet has suggested that it might be better to get him out of the habit.
So we brush him with the hard bristles instead and he loves it.
Here's a photo of the dreaded glove:

A lovely old Renault 4 in someone's garden.
Didn't look in a bad condition either.

Grass at the edge of a garden fence. I was on the road below the garden and had a lovely angle to take this grass in the sunlight.

Trying something different again here. I noticed the sun shining on the water drops on a lawn and tried to catch the light on it. Not sure if it's worked or not.
Comments welcome.

I have no intention of even trying to go down these steps, they look lethal. Thankfully they're someone's front steps, so I won't have to even try!
Turned it to mono as it showed them off better.

i love when auto museums create exhibits that help to display their vehicles in a life like setting.

15th February 2017:
Another lovely morning and I was out as soon as I could. Went for a very pleasant walk without needing to wrap up in woolly hat and gloves, which is so much better.
I found this snail on a branch of a hedge and noticed that it was "blowing bubbles," so picked it up and took some photos of it upside down.
It was fascinating as the bubbles were changing every few seconds. In this photo the snail had "blown" some bigger bubbles at the top.

Two snowdrops growing through the undergrowth in February 2017. The background is a mixture of last years fallen leaves and a distant tree trunk, all diffused by using f3.2 on a macro lens.
. . . Winter has had it, I can tell! After a lackluster performance this season, she is running with her tail between her legs! Oh there might be a brief 1 or 2 day resurgence, but henceforth there will be no more snow dances for me! I am going with the flow and welcoming an early spring!
Have a great week Facebook, Flickr, and 500px friends!

The Collared Inca (Coeligena torquata) is widespread and common in the humid montane forests of western Venezuela, through Colombia and Ecuador, south to Peru and Bolivia. It will be found mainly between 2200 and 2700 meters above sea level but sometimes from 1000 to 3000 meters. The average size of this hummingbird is 11.4 cm (4.5 inches) in length. The collared Inca is easily identified by its long straight thin black bill and large triangular patch across the lower throat and breast. It also flashes white tail feathers in flight.
I had taken a load of photos yesterday of various types of cheeses and had made a "face" with them, but when I looked at it this morning it really didn't look like a macro, even though it was. So I had a rethink and used this photo of some Camembert instead.
I can see an elephant, can you?
