I liked the way the sun brought out the colour in this Mallard drake. Taken in Kensington Gardens. Extra one today, not about tomorrow.
Dinner for two! Male & female Rose-ringed parakeets in Hyde Park., only the male has the ring around his neck.
Lovely to see this handsome pair of Mandarin ducks back on The Long Water, Kensington Gardens, there ere sx in total, hope we get some babes.
A rather impressive building overlooing Regents Park. I can find no reference to it anywhere, could just be flats.
Another image of snowdrops and this one incorporating a Redwood taken on a recent visit to Kingston Lacy gardens.
Here I was focused along the centre from the redwood tree along to be in focus with the upper and lower to be slightly defocused. Also the sunlight late into the afternoon nicely lighting the Redwood and the distance trees nicely.....
Continuing my theme of unoriginality, I present this alternative vantage of Manhattan with its architecture and many piers behind the pilings of Dumbo Park in Brooklyn.
At El Ensueño, Quindío, Colombia.
The Red-headed Barbet (Eubucco bourcierii) is a colorful bird found in the evergreen mountain forests of Costa Rica and Panama and the Andes in western Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and far northern Peru. In Colombia, they stay at elevations between 1200 and 2400 meters (4000 - 8000 feet). Its overall length is about 16.5 cm (6.6 inches). The Red-headed Barbet's diet consists mainly of fruits, but they also forage insects and other arthropods. Barbets are Piciformes and therefore closely related to woodpeckers. Like woodpeckers, they build their nests by carving out holes in trees.
