Bathinda , 7 February 2014 -
Today BJP Kisan Morcha hold Rail Roko protest at Railway Station Shergarh, Bathinda with large number of farmers and party workers. Talking with the media persons at railway track Shergarh today, National Secretary Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that today at hundreds of places in India lakh's of farmers are sitting on Railway tracks. He said that it's a message to the Congress led UPA Government does not take any positive step on the demands of the farmers, now BJP Kisan Morcha is ready for Kisan Aakrosh Divas on 7th February throughout the country. He said on that day morcha workers and farmers will sit on Railway track for which Government of india will be responsible. Grewal stated that after the Kisan Adhikar Divas by Kisan Morcha on 30th January the death anniversary of Gandhi and Kisan Morcha had stage dharnas in all the 618 district centres in pain and grief to expose anti- farmer polices of Congress-led UPA government before the general public. Grewal said that in Congress led UPA Government, the farmers of our country are facing drought condition created by the policies of government. He said that when the crops are destroyed, it is the death of the farmer not the crops. He said that 1,45,000 farmers were forced to commit suicides during the UPA rule. He alleged that the Government is directly responsible for these suicides. He said that the out dated policies and non implementation of the proposed polices are behind these deaths. Grewal said that the benefit of UPA government’s loan waiver scheme went to banks and not to farmers. He said that the banks are now sending notices of attachment to farmers. The farmers of Yamuna Nagar in Haryana have even offered to give their kidney against payment of loans. Grewal said that BJP Kisan Morcha will raise issue of implementation of Swaminathan Commission regarding remunerative prices with 50% profit for the farmers. He said that our other issues are the recommendations made by the Chief Ministers Committee about compensation of Rs 10,000 per acre for risk management must also be implemented, the increased prices of mixed fertilizers must be taken back.
National BJP Leader and Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation ( PSIEC ) Former Vice Chairman, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that our SAD-BJP Government has made several efforts to boost the industrial sector in Punjab state. Grewal said that due to these efforts of SAD-BJP Government as result several business houses are keen to invest in our Punjab. He said that now we have to check Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) for providing good services to the Consumers in Punjab. Talking with the Media persons here today Grewal lashed out at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for poor consumer services and absolute non-adherence of Standards of Performance mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) appointed by Government of Punjab. Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) has specified critical distribution parameters to provide efficient, reliable and safe system of Electricity through its regulations provided in its Supply Code. These Minimum Standards of Performance provides strict timelines to resolve various Consumer grievances viz. Normal Fuse Off, Overhead Line Breakdowns, Underground Cable Breakdowns, Distribution Transformer Failure, Power Transformer Failure, Street Light Faults, Period of Scheduled Outage, Voltage Fluctuations, Meter Complaints, Release of New Connection, Transfer of Title or Conversion of Services, Shifting of Meter/Service Connection and other Services, Complaints about Consumer’s Bills and restoration of Supply. Grewal stated that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a compensation to the Consumer in case of non-fulfillment of these Minimum Standards of Performance. Compensation varies from Rs 50/- to Rs 5000/- for each default for each Consumer. It is well known that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited neither fulfils these Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) nor compensates any Consumer towards any such lapse whereas Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates payment of such compensation by the way of adjustment in Electricity Bills. For instance, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a normal fuse off complaint shall be addressed within 4 hours in cities, towns and urban areas and in case Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) fails to resolve the complaint within 4 hours, it shall remit Rs 50/- as compensation by the way of adjustment in the next bill of the Consumer.
Grewal added that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates registration of each and every complaint filed by the Consumer verbally, telephonically or in writing as per a duly approved Consumer Complaint Handling Procedure whereas there is hardly any such effective system in place to register and address consumer complaints. “According to the Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) filed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) with the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ), it received only 2,462 complaints in a year from over 65 Lac Consumers across Punjab whereas on an average more than 10000 complaints are received daily by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which clearly means Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) had fudged Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) figures to avoid compensation and save itself from the wrath of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) ”, added Grewal.
Grewal stated that he will write to Shri Shanta Kumar MP ( Rajya Sabha ) Prabhari Punjab Pradesh, Shri Shyam Jhaju National BJP Secretary and Seh-Prabhari Punjab, Sr Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal ( SAD ), Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Punjab, Shri Kamal Sharma Punjab State President Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), Shri Tikshan Sud Political Advisor to CM Punjab and also to Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) to pass strict instructions to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) to ensure registration of each and every complaint and its quick resolution, adhere to the Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) as mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) and compensate each and every Consumer in case of any failure on its part.

Ludhiana , 30 April 2014-
All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said in a democracy the people were kings and it was they who would pass judgement on the scam ridden Congress led UPA government at the centre and repose faith in the leadership of a NDA government with Shri Narendra Modi at its head. After casting his vote on the eve of polling at his village Bhukhari Kalan Ludhiana In a press statement here today, Grewal said he could sense a clear wave in favour of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and NDA prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Punjab and was confident that the SAD-BJP would sweep the parliamentary elections in the State by winning all 13 seats at stake. He said that there is palpable anger amongest the people against the UPA government which has caused inflation and unemployment and has discriminated against Punjab for ten years now. Grewal said he had also got a feeling during the campaign that the people were in favour of having the same government at the centre and the State to ensure speedy development. He said such a chance has now come after ten years and I am confident that the people will not let it go. On SAD-BJP alliance Government in Punjab Grewal said it had delivered despite constraints and discrimination in allocation of funds by the centre. He said that we have fulfilled the commitments made to the people be it making the State power surplus, introducing novel welfare schemes including the 'aata -daal' scheme, making government- citizen interface easier through governance reforms and introduction of 'sannjh' and 'suvidha' centres and even attracting investment by introducing unique incentives. Grewal said that the Government was committed to delivering on major fronts once a NDA government was formed at the centre. "Badal Sahab has a unique relationship with Mr Narendra Modi and has already discussed a number of issues with the NDA prime ministerial candidate". He said this included constructing houses for the houseless in both rural and urban areas, offering a remunerative minimum support price, MSP to the farmers and ensuring them full crop insurance besides working for an industrial package for the State. Grewal said that we hope to deliver on all these issues once Shri Narendra Modi is sworn in as the next prime minister of our country. Grewal said the people should evaluate what the party could offer to the State and its people. He said that everyone knows that all the senior leaders including Capt Amarinder Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa and Sunil Jakhar were reluctant candidates and were forced into the contest by the high command. He said even today till the very last minute they are working against each other and have no hope of winning from their seats. Grewal said it was for the people to decide why the Congress had not told the people of Punjab what the UPA government did for the State during the last ten years. He said that six Punjab Congress leaders even served as Union ministers during this period, even they failed to bring any major project to Punjab. He said the Punjab Congress party has even failed to come out with its future vision for the State. He said that all the party has done since the last nearly two months is run a negative propaganda against the SAD-BJP combine. We however have stuck to the positives and put our achievements before the peoples of Punjab.

He said that Congress has several leaders better than Rahul, but the congress party does not promote them. He said that he was the only political stalwart with undisputed credentials of secularism. Talking with the media persons, Grewal said that after cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and noted scientist C N R Rao were named for the country's highest civilian honour, he said that the Centre must confer the country's highest civilian award on Atal Bihari Vajpayee as he was the most deserving incumbent for this honour. In these day's back Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and National Conference leader Union Minister Faroq Abdullah had also demanded the honour for Vajpayee. Grewal today also alleged the state Congress leaders, out of sheer frustration, were carrying on false propaganda against the SAD-BJP government and asked people to be beware of their designs. He said that the Punjab state Congress leadership was bereft of any issue and was criticising the state government on trivial matters just to gain publicity in the media. He said that the sky rocketing prices coupled with widespread graft and maladministration had broken the back of the common man. Grewal dubbed the UPA regime as the most inefficient and corrupt. He said that it's clear that Punjab could get more funds and big projects only if a BJP led NDA Government was installed at the Centre, he said and asked the people to oust the UPA dispensation. Grewal alleged that at present Punjab is getting step-motherly treatment from the Centre UPA Government.
BARNALA , 29 November 2013 -
BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said here that unlike the Congress the SAD-BJP alliance did not thrive on vendetta politics, adding that the state SAD-BJP Government would go by the findings of the revenue department inquiry into shady land deals. Countering Punjab Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa allegations of political vendetta, speaking at the Leaderspeak@HT programme Bajwa had accused the SAD-BJP Government of singling him out over land deals. it's 100% political vendetta. The fight won't end here it's just started Bajwa had said. Addressing a press conference here today Grewal said the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) did not believe in the politics of retribution and its priority was overall development of our state. He said our SAD-BJP Government action would be initiated against every individual found guilty of land grab irrespective of his political affiliation. On the alleged involvement of certain political leaders in drug smuggling Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said our SAD-BJP State Government had already launched a massive campaign against drugs and it was committed to taking strict action against anybody caught in the smuggling net howsoever senior or politically well-connected he may be. Lashing out at the Punjab Congress Grewal said the party was facing the wrath of the people and was totally frustrated. The hollow leaders of the dying party are bent upon indulging in propaganda against the SAD-BJP Government over empty coffers. Grewal asked the Congress Party to give details of the development projects they brought, if any, for Punjab during its five-year tenure 2002-07. Replying to a query on the Ludhiana Metro rail project Grewal said the Rs.10,000-crore project was being financed by the union government as well as international companies. He said it would take at least five years to complete the project. Referring to the Budha Nullah at Ludhiana National Secretary BJP said the state government had formulated a Rs. 250-crore plan for its beautification and clean-up this project very soon.

Ludhiana , 8 May 2014 -
Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal National Secretary, BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh alleged that it was the Congress which had started dividing the country soon after the Independence and not the Bharatiya Janta party Prime Ministerial Candidate Shri Narendra Modi. In a press statement today here Grewal said that Congress party, RJD and even Chief Minister Nitish Kumar miss no opportunity to tell people particularly the minorities that if Narendra Modi comes to power, he will divide the country on the basis of religion. He said but the truth is that Congress for the sake of power facilitated the partition of the country after Independence against the will of Mahatama Gandhi. On criticising Congress party's predictions that Shri Narendra Modi would be "Divisive" if he becomes the prime minister, Grewal questioned why the Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi did not divide his state after being elected thrice. He said that Congress party, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Janata Dal ( United ) believe in creating fear psychosis among Muslims to corner their votes. National Secretary hit back at Congress party first family and claimed that though they Shmt. Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi have taken Gandhi's name but it was the BJP which was truly following Mahatama Gandhi's idea. Grewal also lambasted the Manmohan Singh's, Government for lowering the prestige of the nation by 'stooping' before China and Pakistan. He said that our neighbour country China claims Indian territory in Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh and the Government remains a mute spectator. Grewal said that it's well known to everybody that during the National Democratic Alliance ( NDA ) rule after the Pokhran nuclear tests, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Beijing and it was forced to shed all claims over Sikkim.

New Delhi , 1 June 2014 -
Ladke, ladke hain, galti ho jati hai Mulayam Singh statements result is rape and murder of two Dalit sisters. National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha from Punjab and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav statements strengthen the spirit of rapists, the gangrape and the murder of two Dalit sisters in Badaun is a result of their statements. In a press statement here today Grewal said the statements by Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav only strengthen the spirit of rapists. He said that a day after a journalist asked Akhilesh about the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh to which he had said, I hope you have not faced any danger. Grewal said that the journalist’s question was in the backdrop of the Badaun case and another gangrape incident in Azamgarh, the constituency of the SP chief. He said that people know that Mulayam Singh Yadav had last month raked up a huge controversy on rape cases when he had publicly said, “Ladke, ladke hain, galti ho jati hai (Boys are boys, they make such mistakes). That doesn’t mean that you award them capital punishment.” In the light of such remarks, the BJP leader apprehendedthat the Uttar Pradesh Government might not punish the accused in the Badaun case which might lead to repetition of such incidents. Grewal said that now he is fearing that the Uttar Pradesh Government won’t punish these rapists by taking them to Fast Track courts, so there will be repetition of such incidents.
For Punjab Govt - every day is #EnvironmentDay! True to our commitment, a nature park-cum-monument is planned over an area of five acres in village Sitogunno (Abohar) in district Fazilka in the fond memory of legendary nature lover Amrita Devi Bishnoi and 363 other residents from Bishnoi community. This Nature park will have 363 Jand trees also known as Khejri (Prosopis Cineraria) with inscription of their names on each tree to eulogize the supreme sacrifice of Bishnoi community for saving trees. A 363 ft. tall minaret (minar) in memory of these passionate lovers of nature will also be installed here.

Congress party is struggling to survive while the Aam Admi Party ( AAP ) will just come and go not only from Punjab, but the entire country. All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today dismissed suggestions of anti-incumbency against the SAD-BJP Government as propaganda spread by rivals, during voting day. In a press statement here today Grewal said that there is no anti-incumbency against the state government but rather it is against the UPA government. He said that even last time, Assembly elections there was talk of anti-incumbency against the Punjab Government and look, our alliance created history. Grewal said this time too, history will be created in Punjab. Grewal said that it is a Narendra Modi and Parkash Singh Badal combination that is working well in Punjab. He said the anti-incumbency propaganda has been created by the rivals as they did last time and you all have seen the results. Grewal said that the Government was committed to delivering on major fronts once a NDA government was formed at the centre. "Parkash Singh Badal has a unique relationship with Mr Narendra Modi and has already discussed a number of issues with the NDA prime ministerial candidate".
