New Delhi , 25 November 2013 -

National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Parbhari Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal today demanded Bharat Ratna for Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by saying that was the only political stalwart with undisputed credentials of secularism. Talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said that after cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and noted scientist C N R Rao were named for the country highest civilian honour, he said that the Centre Government must confer the country's highest civilian award on Atal Bihari Vajpayee as he was the most deserving incumbent for this honour. Grewal said that Atal Bihari Vajpayee was an able administrator, the true statesman and above all the only political stalwart with undisputed credentials of secularism. In some day's back Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and National Conference leader Union Minister Faroq Abdullah had also demanded the honour for Vajpayee. Grewal today also alleged the state Congress leaders, out of sheer frustration, were carrying on false propaganda against the SAD-BJP government in Punjab and asked people to be beware of their designs. He said that the Punjab state Congress leadership was bereft of any issue and was criticising the state government on trivial matters just to gain publicity in the media. Grewal alleged the Congress leaders had unleashed false propaganda against their SAD-BJP Government and were even indulging in mud-slinging. He also asked the masses to be beware of their nefarious designs. Grewal said the people of Punjab should do so some soul searching before exercising their franchise in upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the state. Grewal said the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre had failed to deliver goods and the common man was feeling disenchanted. He said that the sky rocketing prices coupled with widespread graft and maladministration had broken the back of a common man. Grewal dubbed the UPA regime as the most inefficient and corrupt. He said that it's clear that Punjab could get more funds and big projects only if a BJP led NDA Government was installed at the Centre, he said and asked the people to oust the UPA dispensation. Grewal alleged that at present Punjab is getting step-motherly treatment from the Centre UPA Government.

After a public meeting talking with the media persons here today, Grewal said our party BJP would return to power in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh as people had accepted incumbent chief ministers Raman Singh and Shivraj Singh Chouhan as their most trusted and creditable leaders. Grewal claimed that the anti Congress wave was a national trend, he said that the Centre mismanagement of economy leading to inflation and price rise of essential commodities, corruption cases like 2G, CWG, coal, and lapses in internal security were seriously affecting the common man who found the Congress leadership indecisive, incompetent and non-inspirational. Grewal said that BJP is likely to make a comeback in Rajasthan by winning 105 of the total 200 seats, said a survey on last week. He said that according to the survey, 50 percent of the respondents felt the Congress government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should not get another chance. Ludhiana , 29 December 2013 -

BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal on the eve of Arvind Kejriwal's swearing function in as Delhi chief minister, said that our Party BJP asked its newly elected MLA's to be prepared for snap polls in near future, stating that tenability of AAP government with Congress support looks extremely suspect. In a press statement here today he said that the whole idea of a party professing clean politics aligning with the most corrupt political party in history is ridiculous and it's collapse would be under its own contradictions. He said that the new dispensation has started on a shaky wicket in view of the dissenting statements from Congress over support to AAP. Grewal stated that there are several statements from the Congress leadership, it's one says support as per manifesto, other says it is unconditional support and third say no, no, it is simple support. He said it's the beginning, of Aam Aadmi Party itself seems to be on a shaky wicket. Grewal taking a dig at AAP, said it is the same party which had called all other political parties thief. He questioned now are they Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) happy going with them ( Congress ). I wish that they would not have called all the political parties thief. He demanded that AAP and Congress come clean on the deal between them over government formation, he said Arvind Kejriwal led new government should start fulfilling its promise of starting inquiry into scams and corruption cases committed by the previous dispensation. Grewal said it's should be clear that people of Delhi also want to know the deal between AAP and Congress. He said that the intention of the new government would soon become clear when it opens corruption cases against Congress. Grewal also demanded that the new government order a high-level and time bound enquiry into the bungling committed during the former Chief Minister Delhi Sheila Dikshit regime. He said that there are over two dozen's scams. There are Commonwealth Games scam, Yamuna cleaning scam, DTC bus purchase bungling, power and water scam among many others. He also demanded the new Government should ensure stern punishment to the guilty. He said that our Party BJP welcomes the new government and expects that it will fulfil the promises made to the public within a fixed time frame so that people suffering due to Congress misrule for the last 15 years may get relief to the people of Delhi.

Ludhiana , 26 December 2013 -

National Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that AAP has now sacrificed its principle of no Congress Party support to form their Government in Delhi. He termed the Congress party as the B-team of ( AAP ) Aam Aadmi Party. He said both parties are in a self serving motive and have entered into a political adjustment to form the Government in Delhi. In a press statement here today he said that Congress Party was not keen on an early re-election due to the drubbing it received in the recent assembly elections and Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) wanted to form Government to make its presence felt nationally. He said that Congress Party has now agreed to working as the B-team of the AAP in order to defer the prospects of another electoral humiliation. He said that the Congress Party is now extending outside support of its eight MLA's to the AAP to help it form the Government in Delhi. Grewal said that when the two parties jointly constitute a majority in the assembly are allowing a Government formation with a dishonourable motive. He said that the Aam Aadmi Party leader and now coming Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal is raising the questions on the exact nature of the CON-AAP relationship that's are of many have suggested that AAP Party is the B-team of Congress Party. Grewal said that the Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) has now sacrificed its principle of no Congress support. He said that in Delhi Congress Party is clear loser in the election as it had got only eight MLA seats and most of its leaders lost the election a few days back. He said that it's also clear to everybody that the Congress Party cannot afford an early re-election in Delhi, so it's need some breathing time to recover itself. Grewal said that it is also clear that if there is no Government had been formed in Delhi there will be a re election could have been held along with the coming Lok Sabha elections. He said that at that time Narendra Modi factor in favour of BJP " Vote for India " will also have influenced the outcome of that elections. He said that's way the poll would have been polarised between the BJP and the AAP with the Congress getting squeezed out even more at that time. He said that Aam Aadmi Party ( AAP ) which has 28 MLA's now has taken a calculated risk at this time. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) emerged as the largest single party in Delhi with 31 MLA seats and the party could not have formed a Government till it had stable support of 36 MLA's at this time. Grewal said that our Party BJP has reconciled to sitting in the opposition or wait for fresh elections in Delhi.

BJP wing to hold Kisan parliament in Delhi today – Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal

BJP’s Kisan Morcha will hold a two-day farmers’ parliament on Saturday and Sunday in Mavlankar Hall, Rafi Marg New Delhi to discuss the issues faced by the agriculture sector.

Ludhiana: BJP Kisan Morcha National Secretary, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said the issues related to agriculture, especially the increasing number of farmers’ suicides, would be discussed at the special Kisan parliament.

“The present condition of agriculture and challenges ahead, Government’s wrong policies and declining income of farmers, market fluctuations and insecurity among farmers, fear of natural calamities and poor market management, increasing agriculture input and lack of infrastructural facilities would be discussed at length during the two-day event,” Grewal said.

Various Bills related to agriculture sector tabled in Parliament will also be discussed, he said. These include the Bills on land acquisition, seeds and pesticides.

Accusing the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government of trying to ignore the plight of farmers, Grewal said, “To highlight the plight of farmers, we have now decided to take an initiative and are holding this parliament that will have brainstorming sessions where the bigwigs will discuss issues.”

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj will inaugurate the Kisan parliament on Saturday, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said. BJP president Nitin Gadkari and agriculture economist MS Swaminathan would speak at the concluding session on Sunday.

Others likely to speak at the event include Arun Jaitley, former Union Agriculture Minister Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu, Murli Manohar Joshi and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi, among others.

Quoting a letter Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar wrote to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh recently, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said the letter had stated that the UPA Central Government’s policies are anti-farmer.

National BJP Leader and Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation ( PSIEC ) Former Vice Chairman, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that our SAD-BJP Government has made several efforts to boost the industrial sector in Punjab state. Grewal said that due to these efforts of SAD-BJP Government as result several business houses are keen to invest in our Punjab. He said that now we have to check Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) for providing good services to the Consumers in Punjab. Talking with the Media persons here today Grewal lashed out at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for poor consumer services and absolute non-adherence of Standards of Performance mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) appointed by Government of Punjab. Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) has specified critical distribution parameters to provide efficient, reliable and safe system of Electricity through its regulations provided in its Supply Code. These Minimum Standards of Performance provides strict timelines to resolve various Consumer grievances viz. Normal Fuse Off, Overhead Line Breakdowns, Underground Cable Breakdowns, Distribution Transformer Failure, Power Transformer Failure, Street Light Faults, Period of Scheduled Outage, Voltage Fluctuations, Meter Complaints, Release of New Connection, Transfer of Title or Conversion of Services, Shifting of Meter/Service Connection and other Services, Complaints about Consumer’s Bills and restoration of Supply. Grewal stated that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a compensation to the Consumer in case of non-fulfillment of these Minimum Standards of Performance. Compensation varies from Rs 50/- to Rs 5000/- for each default for each Consumer. It is well known that Punjab State Power Corporation Limited neither fulfils these Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) nor compensates any Consumer towards any such lapse whereas Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates payment of such compensation by the way of adjustment in Electricity Bills. For instance, Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates a normal fuse off complaint shall be addressed within 4 hours in cities, towns and urban areas and in case Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) fails to resolve the complaint within 4 hours, it shall remit Rs 50/- as compensation by the way of adjustment in the next bill of the Consumer.

Grewal added that Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) mandates registration of each and every complaint filed by the Consumer verbally, telephonically or in writing as per a duly approved Consumer Complaint Handling Procedure whereas there is hardly any such effective system in place to register and address consumer complaints. “According to the Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) filed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) with the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ), it received only 2,462 complaints in a year from over 65 Lac Consumers across Punjab whereas on an average more than 10000 complaints are received daily by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which clearly means Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) had fudged Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) figures to avoid compensation and save itself from the wrath of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) ”, added Grewal.

Grewal stated that he will write to Shri Shanta Kumar MP ( Rajya Sabha ) Prabhari Punjab Pradesh, Shri Shyam Jhaju National BJP Secretary and Seh-Prabhari Punjab, Sr Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal ( SAD ), Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Punjab, Shri Kamal Sharma Punjab State President Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), Shri Tikshan Sud Political Advisor to CM Punjab and also to Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) to pass strict instructions to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) to ensure registration of each and every complaint and its quick resolution, adhere to the Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) as mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) and compensate each and every Consumer in case of any failure on its part.

Bhamian Kalan, Punjab - Oct 30, 2013.

The Congress is once again playing dirty communal politics In the name of raising issue of Sikh farmers in Gujarat said Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal the National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha. Talking with media persons after a meeting with Gujarat Chief Minister and PM in waitng Sh. Narendra Modi here today, Grewal said that Congress was once again hatching conspiracy to fan communal feelings in the name of raising issue of Sikh farmers of Punjab and Haryana in Gujarat by hiding the real facts and figures behind it. Grewal said that Since it was the Congress chief minister Ghanshayam Bhai Ojha in Gujarat, who introduced the clause in 1973 that has rendered Sikh farmers non-agriculturist in Gujarat, the Punjab Congress party definitely owes an explanatory statement to the nation people of Punjab and Haryana in particular. He added that the issue was not only of the farmers of Haryana and Punjab in Gujarat, albeit of all farmers who are not from Gujarat state. Laying bare the facts and figures Grewal said that in 1973 the government under chief minister Ghanshayam Bhai Ojha, issued a circular stating that if a farmer from outside the state Gujarat, for example a farmer from Punjab or any other state, buys a land in Gujarat he is declared a non agriculturist. The circular applies to any out of the state agriculturist and not only on Sikhs or minorities. Around 784 cases of violation were found by the Kutch district administration in which 164 cases were related from Punjab and Haryana state, 108 cases belonged to the individuals Gujarati and 512 cases belonged to farmers from states other than of Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana. Grewal said that Instead of taking up cases of all the affected farmers, Congress is raising the issue the Sikh farmers of Punjab and Haryana only. Sadly enough, the Punjab Congress is ill equipped in the terms of information and does not have enough ammunition left to keep itself thriving. Jumping on the controversy bandwagon, Punjab Congress has started this malicious campaign without doing its homework. Grewal stated that Gujarat CM Narendra Modi was committed to safeguard the cause of all farmers and has already assured the Punjab CM Prakash Singh Badal and State President BJP Punjab Kamal Sharma that a lawful solution was being found for the problem. He said that Sh. Narendra Modi has assured that no farmer will face any difficulty. According to 2001 census survey 45,875 Sikhs are living peacefully and harmoniously in Gujarat.

Ludhiana , 30 April 2014-

All India Secretary BJP Kisan Morcha and Prabhari Himachal Pradesh Advocate, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said in a democracy the people were kings and it was they who would pass judgement on the scam ridden Congress led UPA government at the centre and repose faith in the leadership of a NDA government with Shri Narendra Modi at its head. After casting his vote on the eve of polling at his village Bhukhari Kalan Ludhiana In a press statement here today, Grewal said he could sense a clear wave in favour of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and NDA prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in Punjab and was confident that the SAD-BJP would sweep the parliamentary elections in the State by winning all 13 seats at stake. He said that there is palpable anger amongest the people against the UPA government which has caused inflation and unemployment and has discriminated against Punjab for ten years now. Grewal said he had also got a feeling during the campaign that the people were in favour of having the same government at the centre and the State to ensure speedy development. He said such a chance has now come after ten years and I am confident that the people will not let it go. On SAD-BJP alliance Government in Punjab Grewal said it had delivered despite constraints and discrimination in allocation of funds by the centre. He said that we have fulfilled the commitments made to the people be it making the State power surplus, introducing novel welfare schemes including the 'aata -daal' scheme, making government- citizen interface easier through governance reforms and introduction of 'sannjh' and 'suvidha' centres and even attracting investment by introducing unique incentives. Grewal said that the Government was committed to delivering on major fronts once a NDA government was formed at the centre. "Badal Sahab has a unique relationship with Mr Narendra Modi and has already discussed a number of issues with the NDA prime ministerial candidate". He said this included constructing houses for the houseless in both rural and urban areas, offering a remunerative minimum support price, MSP to the farmers and ensuring them full crop insurance besides working for an industrial package for the State. Grewal said that we hope to deliver on all these issues once Shri Narendra Modi is sworn in as the next prime minister of our country. Grewal said the people should evaluate what the party could offer to the State and its people. He said that everyone knows that all the senior leaders including Capt Amarinder Singh, Partap Singh Bajwa and Sunil Jakhar were reluctant candidates and were forced into the contest by the high command. He said even today till the very last minute they are working against each other and have no hope of winning from their seats. Grewal said it was for the people to decide why the Congress had not told the people of Punjab what the UPA government did for the State during the last ten years. He said that six Punjab Congress leaders even served as Union ministers during this period, even they failed to bring any major project to Punjab. He said the Punjab Congress party has even failed to come out with its future vision for the State. He said that all the party has done since the last nearly two months is run a negative propaganda against the SAD-BJP combine. We however have stuck to the positives and put our achievements before the peoples of Punjab.

Ludhiana ( Bhukhari Kalan ) , 27 January 2014 -

PSIEC , Punjab Small Industry and Export Corporation Former Vice Chairman, Advocate Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that our SAD-BJP Government has made several efforts to boost the industrial sector in Punjab state. Grewal said that due to these efforts of SAD-BJP Government as result several business houses are keen to invest in our Punjab. He said that now we have to check Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) which is providing poor services to the Consumers in Punjab. In a meeting with Kisan Morcha Workers here today, Grewal lashed out at Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for poor consumer services and absolute non-adherence of Standards of Performance mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) appointed by Government of Punjab.

“According to the Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) filed by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) with the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ), it received only 2462 complaints in a year from over 65 Lac Consumers across Punjab whereas on an average more than 10000 complaints are received daily by the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited which clearly means Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) had fudged Annual Revenue Requirement ( ARR ) figures to avoid compensation and save itself from the wrath of Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) ”, added Grewal.

Grewal stated that he will write to Shri Shanta Kumar MP ( Rajya Sabha ) Prabhari Punjab Pradesh, Shri Balramji Dass Tandon Sr. BJP Leader Punjab BJP, Sr Sukhbir Singh Badal President Shiromani Akali Dal ( SAD ), Deputy Chief Minister and Power Minister Punjab, Shri Kamal Sharma Punjab State President Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), Shri Tikshan Sud Political Advisor to CM Punjab and also to Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) to pass strict instructions to Punjab State Power Corporation Limited ( PSPCL ) to ensure registration of each and every complaint and its quick resolution, adhere to the Minimum Standard of performance ( MSOP ) as mandated by Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission ( PSERC ) and compensate each and every Consumer in case of any failure on its part, which is very shameful.
