Kael has always been fast for a retriever. Even though she has elbow dysplasia and arthritis, she has always been able to put on a burst of speed to outrun her athletic younger retriever brother Ollie. Now that she's older - the bursts of speed are less frequent, but still fun to watch.

Metra Chicago Millennium Train Station. It's on both sides as you walk to or from the trains and the street. Always busy just like this.
Every time I see this, I wonder with the abundance of food in the United States, if the excess of what is slightly 'old' can not only feed our poor, but people in other countries as well.
This all reminds me back a few years ago, when I was on a plan to maintain proper weight through portion control. How much food I ate that I really didn't need to.
On a recent family trip to the city, one fast food place had a promotion to buy one burger and get another free. Each of us bought the promo, and on the way out the door handed our second burger to the poor asking for pocket change.

When I got done with this, it looked like it was a biologically engineered raygun, and had several bulbous things and a sense of motion.Therefore...I was reminded of a line from a Capt. Beefheart song: "Fast and Bulbous!. Captures his sense of musical abstractness too.

This shot itself was taken December 2005, on the way to Margret River from Perth in Australia. Probably somewhere near Rockingham. My children are really crazy about Mcdonald's. Among my family members we call it "M". This is because once we say Mcdonald's, the kids immediately react then say "Let's go!". My wife and I feel not every time.
Suddenly I start fasting. I haven't taken food for 24 hours. I am still OK. Tomorrow evening I will take little.
