Pretty much we just strolled around shooting what we saw and had an amazing time!

Finally out with camera again. Spotted the young tern on the post making a racket, and a few seconds later Mum flew in with a snack. This was repeated several times, leading to this shot. I think the snack is a Dragonfly rather than a fish - Mum seemed to be catching things out of the air.

I was impressed that landing wasn't necessary, although Mum must be close to a stall looking at the position of her wings and tail feathers. For whatever reason Mum always made her final approach at 90 degrees to my viewing angle, so a sharp focus on the post meant that I was going to get her in focus as well.
