I went to Slimbridge, Gloucestershire, on Monday. All these images are taken either with the Samyang 500mm mirror lens on the 5D Mk 2, or with a 70-200mm f/2.8 with 1.4x converter combo on my old 30D.

Interesting day - the Samyang gives very much softer images (with mirror lens background bokeh) but the 30D is noisier.

This guy was also in the front of the pack. He was very fast. Andrea and I didn't stay to see the awards given out to the age groups that were under 20, but I'm sure he took at least a place in his age group.
