Australian cassette magazine from the 80's.
Features music and interviews with people/artists such as The Cramps, Karen Ansell, The Triffids and Birds of Tin.
Sweden, South Carolina (Bamberg County). This train is heading north, hauling ass. Mysterious looking cars, all the same kind. Secret stuff. I caught up with it later in North. [South Carolina, like every other region, has some interesting place names.]
I had loads of ideas for this week, but i decided to put my panning skill to the test ( which is pretty poor )
I chose this shot because it has multiple elements, I'm panning right to freeze the bike and blur the background, and the red car happened to burst through perfectly and give an extra dimension.....
I found that if i panned at 1/20s the there was excessive shake on the moving vehicle, and at 1/100 the blurred background was limited, so I set the shutter at 1/50 prefocussed where I wanted to capture the action and got lucky :-))
More than 100 incoming 5th-8th grade students signed up for a free camp at Hoover High School this week thanks to a fundraising campaign by Community Education. FAST (Fitness Activity Sports Times) is a multi-activity camp with sessions ranging from soccer to hip-hop to guitar lessons for kids to have fun during the summer.
Found out afterwards that he's pretty famous around here with the 35+ year old population...and he also created the Turbo Hustle along with having a 6 page spread in GQ magazine

Week 2
This week's challenge was "blur the action." I had planned to try and do a panning photo with some cars outside, but the weather and my schedule didn't align this week. So I enlisted the help of my son and his RC car inside our house. This proved pretty difficult due to the small space and tiny subject. It's not as in focus as I'd like, but it's the best I could do with the short attention span of my assistant.

The G series High Speed Rail train at Nanjing. This was the same train that crashed at WenZhou which appeared to be the result of speed. The speed of the trains has been reduced from 350 kmh to 300 kmh. All told it still only took 3 hrs and 45 minutes to travel from Beijing to Nanjing.
