Mimi is running her heart out at the beach. She is running between me and Alison for and back. I have no clue how fast she is going but I know there would be not a man in the world to keep up with her.
The 2009 movie "Fast & Furious" used a dry lake in the Lucerne Valley for the scenes involving the evening drug run from Mexico as well as the chase scene involving the kidnapping of Braga to bring him back to the states.
This is the Soggy Dry Lake which is about 2 hrs NE of Los Angeles.
After a busy old day (again) in the garden - front and back - I eventually stopped for the day with just enough time to clean myself up before preparing dinner! My wife is working this evening (nurses never stop working) so I thought I would make her a quick meal.
Vegetable stir-fry - fresh vegetables, noodles and a jar of sweet and sour (you didn't expect me to make the sauce!!) It was yummy!!

This was my fast car, a Toyota Corolla Tsport VVTLI it was quick and the ride was firm i own it for 7 years.
I did not know that VW was shipping the new Golf GTI with a Fast! I thought it was just a gimmick for the ads.

Die „Identitäre Bewegung Deutschland“ wollte in Halle marschieren, doch wurde an fast allen stellen erfolgreich blockiert.
Während sich am Haus der IB mehr als 200 Rechte sammelten, kamen auch von allen Seiten antifaschistische Kräfte hinzu und blockierten das Univiertel sowie den Campus, was zur Folge hatte, dass nicht mal Martin Sellner im Taxi durchkam.
Gleichzeitig sammelten sich etwa 60 Rechte, darunter Neonazis der „Brigade Halle“, „Aryans“, „Bärgida“ und andere neonazistischen Einzelpersonen, vorwiegend aus Ostdeutschland, am Bahnhof. Von dort aus wollten sie zum Haus ziehen, was die Polizei aus Sicherheitsgründen untersagte und setzte die Neonazis dort fest.
Eine Gruppe von 20 IB-ler konnte dennoch erfolgreich laufen. Sie meldeten eine Spontandemonstration vom Bahnhof zu ihrem Hotel an. Die Route wurde permanent von bis zu 50 antifaschistischen Menschen blockiert. Die BFE-Einsatzkräfte mussten mit einfachen körperlichen Mitteln die Blockaden beenden und konnten somit einem kleinen IB-Haufen einen Aufmarsch durchsetzen.
In der Stadt versammelten sich eine unbekannte vierstellige Zahl an Menschen, die teilweise die Innenstadt lahmlegten. Dabei kam es offenbar auch zu kleineren Aufeinandertreffen mit IB-Aktivisten, sowie zu kleineren Auseinandersetzungen mit Polizeikräften. Infolge dessen erfolgten mehrere Ingewahrsamnahmen, Aussprachen von Platzverweisen und Personalienfeststellungen. Auch auf Seiten der Rechten kam zu Platzverweisen und Gewahrsamnahmen.
Die Polizei Sachsen-Anhalt setzte vor allem auf durchsetzungsfähige Einsatzkräfte aus den Kreisen der BFE. So befanden sich mehrere Unterstützungs-BFEen aus anderen Bundesländern wie Thüringen, Baden-Württemberg, Nordrhein-Westfalen, der Bundespolizei und den eigenen aus Sachsen-Anhalt im Einsatz. Zusätzlich war eine BFE+ der Bundespolizei im Nahbereich des IB-Hauses aktiv. Schweres Gerät wurde nicht gesehen.

Kael has always been fast for a retriever. Even though she has elbow dysplasia and arthritis, she has always been able to put on a burst of speed to outrun her athletic younger retriever brother Ollie. Now that she's older - the bursts of speed are less frequent, but still fun to watch.
This is another shot from our rainy afternoon in the tennis courts.
