Austria Series no 17: Taugl
The Taugl is a small mountain river which partly runs through a ravine. It's especially beautiful in the fall, when the red stone, the fallen leaves and the fall foliage create a colorful image.
🇩🇪 Der Tauglbach ist ein kleiner Gebirgsfluss, der teilweise eine Schlucht in das Gestein gegraben hat. Im Herbst ist es dort besonders schön, wenn das rote Gestein, das gefallene Laub und die Herbstfarben zusammen ein stimmungsvolles Gesamtbild ergeben.
To me this image represents the very essence of Patagonia and its beautiful spirit. I have held off on finishing this piece for a couple of years, but always seem to return to this composition. The final image ended up being an exposure blend of three images in photoshop in order to get the correct flow of the falls balanced with the light in the sky.

What’s up everyone! Hope all of you guys are doing well out there! Figured I share some new work today. Here’s a scene that I captured this last fall, on a family trip to Colorado. What I liked about this particular scene was the curvy young aspen framed by the other aspens. Almost as if the bigger aspens were protecting the young aspen tree. But also the quality of light filtering through the forest canopy was choice as well. Love me some soft light!!!
I dunno about you guys, but I'm soooooo ready for fall colors!!!

I can’t tell you guys out there how much I love the fall! The colors, the leaves and the trees just look so cool! I’m still out chasing that little bit of color, but it’s has been a wonderful fall season! Just so much awesomeness! Have a lot of new images to share, and I will try to keep up on my posting! Hope you guys out there are doing well, and Happy Thanksgiving!
This scene here is one of my favorite images that I’ve made down south along the bayou. It was one of those scenes where everything was flowing together. Juicy fall colors with the fast moving mist on the water as if ghosts or spirits were floating through the bayou. So peaceful, so serene. All the elements connecting with each other.
A quiet mid-November moment at Riverdale Farm — the wooden fences looping through the paddocks, the last of the autumn colour clinging to the trees, and the city feeling just a little slower for a minute.

I definitely learned something about working with "difficult" models through this experience. While I'm pretty happy with how these photos came out, they weren't created without their share of hardships, including: a living room covered in straw, several broken pumpkin stems, an a lot of me rolling around on the floor like an idiot.
Also at one point Gravy got jealous that it was Frank's turn in front of the camera, and bit him.
Colours of Autumn - my favourite time of the year has come around again and some of the colours of autumn are starting to appear.
A fallen tree in the forest. Its decay is the source of a lot of life.

The color this fall in Colorado was incredible! I’ve never seen so much color! Every and anything that had leaves 🍁 that could change color or had color did! It was complete sensory overload! Everywhere you looked…there was color! It was incredible! This was one of the first scenes I photographed on my trip to Colorado this past fall. I had been up pretty late in the evening trying to get to this location as the storm was starting to break. I guess the lack of sleep paid off!
I was somewhat nervous getting back into the field, because I hadn’t really shot much over the summer and was recently coming off of eye surgery as well. But like anything else, once you get back into the swing of things, everything starts to flow and you get your grove back. I think got my groove back😉
