10/23/20...chainsaws and nap time for Bonzo today...no amputations...split rail now a third of itself...what to do...burn it on down. Blurry and full of worry, the Tufted Titmouse landed within a meter...no time to correct settings...too slow a shutter...but the low ISO makes for dreamy.😉

After posting this I gave my title some thought..."Here I am". I know why I used it as regards the Titmouse...then it came to me...what if Jesus Christ appeared before you or me and said "Here I am"...would we...could we..drop all the trappings of a material world and follow...right then...what would we do...lock the door...hide away...or answer...give me an hour...give me a day...a week...I need to do this and that...something to ponder.

For some reason, I decided to look for Guadacanal Diary...a band I used to like...found this song...never heard it...but it was a perfect fit. Check it out if you have time "Little Birds"

Fall in full swing in Minnesota

Driving misty autumn roads is one of my favourite things to do in October 🍂

While traveling along a quiet Colorado backroad, I came across this beautiful grove of Aspen trees. The timing couldn’t have been any better, late afternoon light filtered softly through the leaves as spotty clouds drifted above, creating a perfectly soft backlight. And, this is why it’s worth slowing down and letting the road lead the way.

When I’m on a photography trip, I rarely follow a set agenda. Instead, I let the conditions guide me. On this day, I noticed clouds building over a distant mountain range and decided to chase the weather. That wandering path ended up leading me to some incredible light. Ansel Adams once said, “Luck follows a prepared mind.” I’ve found that to be especially true in photography. Knowing where the most potential lies helps guide my choices, but some of the best moments still aren’t planned at all, they just unfold when preparation meets opportunity.

The Taugl is a small mountain river which partly runs through a ravine. It's especially beautiful in the fall, when the red stone, the fallen leaves and the fall foliage create a colorful image.

The area is at peak for the fall colors

Elevated autumn view of the rugged landscape that surrounds the town of Telluride that sits at the end of this valley.

To me this image represents the very essence of Patagonia and its beautiful spirit. I have held off on finishing this piece for a couple of years, but always seem to return to this composition. The final image ended up being an exposure blend of three images in photoshop in order to get the correct flow of the falls balanced with the light in the sky.

What’s up everyone! Hope all of you guys are doing well out there! Figured I share some new work today. Here’s a scene that I captured this last fall, on a family trip to Colorado. What I liked about this particular scene was the curvy young aspen framed by the other aspens. Almost as if the bigger aspens were protecting the young aspen tree. But also the quality of light filtering through the forest canopy was choice as well. Love me some soft light!!!

I dunno about you guys, but I'm soooooo ready for fall colors!!!

I can’t tell you guys out there how much I love the fall! The colors, the leaves and the trees just look so cool! I’m still out chasing that little bit of color, but it’s has been a wonderful fall season! Just so much awesomeness! Have a lot of new images to share, and I will try to keep up on my posting! Hope you guys out there are doing well, and Happy Thanksgiving!

This scene here is one of my favorite images that I’ve made down south along the bayou. It was one of those scenes where everything was flowing together. Juicy fall colors with the fast moving mist on the water as if ghosts or spirits were floating through the bayou. So peaceful, so serene. All the elements connecting with each other.

This place is one of my favourites lately, stunning peaceful, suprislingly almost no people and loads and loads of butterflies!
