Pinterest throws unsolicited photo collections at my inbox, I can't resist playing with some!
I gleaned some info about this one from a facebook post by the then 12-year-old lad who is 'backerin' the horse.
However, old maps seem to predate Ocker Hill Power Station which closed in the late 1970s and it has been erased from current maps, so I would welcome any details about the location.
The boat is heading south along the Walsall Canal.
when I arrived at my favorite spot at the Gersprenz / Hessen last week, I found 5 bunnies who were obviously "thrown away" by someone. With much help of four ladies (who reacted to my facebook-post) we could catch all of them and brought them to a save place (Tierheim Babenhausen), where they have been now checked and pampered - don't they all look very sweet??!

From Wikipedia : "The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925. King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), resided at Chitralada Royal Villa and his successor Vajiralongkorn at Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, both in the Dusit Palace, but the Grand Palace is still used for official events. Several royal ceremonies and state functions are held within the walls of the palace every year. The palace is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Thailand.
Construction of the palace began on May 6, 1782, at the order of King Phutthayotfa Chulalok (Rama I), the founder of the Chakri Dynasty, when he moved the capital city from Thonburi to Bangkok. Throughout successive reigns, many new buildings and structures were added, especially during the reign of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V). By 1925, the king, the Royal Family and the government were no longer permanently settled at the palace, and had moved to other residences. After the abolition of absolute monarchy in 1932, all government agencies completely moved out of the palace.
In shape, the palace complex is roughly rectangular and has a combined area of 218,400 square metres (2,351,000 sq ft), surrounded by four walls. It is situated on the banks of the Chao Phraya River at the heart of the Rattanakosin Island, today in the Phra Nakhon District. The Grand Palace is bordered by Sanam Luang and Na Phra Lan Road to the north, Maharaj Road to the west, Sanamchai Road to the east and Thai Wang Road to the south.
Rather than being a single structure, the Grand Palace is made up of numerous buildings, halls, pavilions set around open lawns, gardens and courtyards. Its asymmetry and eclectic styles are due to its organic development, with additions and rebuilding being made by successive reigning kings over 200 years of history. It is divided into several quarters: the Temple of the Emerald Buddha; the Outer Court, with many public buildings; the Middle Court, including the Phra Maha Monthien Buildings, the Phra Maha Prasat Buildings and the Chakri Maha Prasat Buildings; the Inner Court and the Siwalai Gardens quarter. The Grand Palace is currently partially open to the public as a museum, but it remains a working palace, with several royal offices still situated inside."

"One of Port St Mary’s jewels is the Karran Quirk footpath, usually known as ‘The Cat Walk’. This was built as a winter- works scheme between 1962 and 1965. "The Catwalk, Port St Mary (part of PROW 441) On the run up to TT this year, Gallas Foundry Ltd replaced the safety railings the length of the Catwalk which links PSM beach and PSM harbour. ... The Catwalk is also known as the Karran Quirk footpath. It was built as a winter works scheme between 1962-5 and won the Civic Trust Award in 1965. It was named after the Port St Mary Commissioners Page Clerk Harold Karran and the Foreman Mason for the project Harry Quirk."

The low cloud bank in the distance was a bit foreboding. It was supposed to be a sunny day. Within a couple hours, after the sun heated up the sky a bit, a big fog bank rolled in over the area, forcing me to change my plans and go an hour or so east to get out of the fog.

A day light shot after it's evening arrival from Juneau yesterday. What I've been able to glean from comments on my Facebook posts so far are that serials could possibly be 75 or 76. It is said to be going to Chile, but according to an Instagram post in Portuguese it will be doing some demo flights in Brazil by AJ Cranes who seem to have some connection to a Chilean pilot. CFGAC (logo on the tail) are the commercial operator of SAIC out of Xi'an.
[Facebook post] I was introduced to the German artist Käthe Kollwitz (1867-1945) while I was taking a charcoals class at the Atlanta College of Art some thirty years ago. Kollwitz was a master of many media, including sculpture. She was also a committed socialist and social reformer. I fell in love with her work - and with her life - almost immediately.
So my visit to see the sculpture pictured here, Mother with her Dead Son, at the Neue Wach in Berlin was a kind of pilgrimage. My second one in fact, having come to this place during my first visit to Germany back in 1995. The opportunity to see it again again was one of the reasons I wanted to return.
The sculpture which depicts a woman cradling her dead adult son is referred to as Kollwitz's Pietà for obvious reasons. What is not obvious to those unfamiliar with Kollwitz's story is that she lost her younger son Peter in World War I.
There is a irony to this installation in that the Neue Wach was built in 1818 for a military purpose, as a guardhouse for soldiers of King Frederick William III of Prussia. It has since been recommissioned as the "Central Memorial of the Federal Republic of Germany for the Victims of War and Dictatorship". What could be more fitting than to have Kollwitz's sculpture claim this place of remembrance?
Käthe Kollwitz, a committed pacifist - somehow - survived the Nazi-times (Nazizeit in German), but lost a grandson, also named Peter, in the Second World War. It is difficult for me to imagine the compounding of such grief.
That said, if you come to Berlin, I recommend that you visit the Neue Wach. It's not that crowded. And when you come, reflect on Käthe Kollwitz's pacifism and the fact that many of us today still encourage young people, senselessly, to fight and die for their country.

(cont.) ...as if you couldn't tell already, this building originally started its life as a Super Kmart Center! I think Kmart closed in 2004, but I'm not 100% sure on that. (EDIT: I was close: it was 2005, courtesy of AFB!) Either way, its closure date doesn't really matter, since the store still retains its signature architecture to this day! Like Burlington, Buck's has done nothing to remove the old Kmart look, and in fact you might even say they've added back to it: Burlington never utilized Kmart's old flagpole, while Buck's has proudly taken the opportunity to show off Old Glory (see their Facebook post here, as well as my teaser pic of the flag here.) I like it! :)

I'm not usually the person shouting "Y U RUNE KLASSIK"? Commentary on the modified cars Facebook post. If it makes you happy, then go for it, until it falls on the road. Yet one particular celebrity resto made has me scratching my head, not in anger, but a state of confusion: In 1974 the BMW 3.0 CS was modified by SpeedKore for actor Robert Downey Jr. Speedcore specializes in rebuilding unreliable vehicles in carbon fiber parts and full carbon fiber, but they kept on making a remake of the 3.0 CS's sleek body for the Downey project.
For their first European Restomod, they put the classic Bimmer's metal body and added some Bespoke carbon fiber bits: a front air dam, rear bumper, and rocker molding, all finished in a BASF Glasurit satin coat to peek the carbon Can be given
The true sin isn't carbon fiber for carbon fiber's sake, which is subtle enough.
This is the gray wood grain that is ubiquitous in every "updated" apartment you'll ever see.

If you don't look at the dashboard, the interior is also fine.
The 1970s-inspired Lamborghinis-inspired center console grab handle looks like it's there and almost looks warranted if the four-speed Auto box catches up.

I've had some dream tiger sightings lately...
First my apologies for not getting round to comment on people's streams. Internet connection in many of the places I am in here in Nepal makes it challenging to spend time on Flickr and I'm afraid to say the new format makes it even more so. So I've basically given up.
