I went to Holiday Party where the attendees were encouraged to take photos. I am not sure if this is what they had in mind. I think they wanted twitter and facebook posts of happy people posing for flash photography. These are shot in dark room with out the use of a flash only the ambient light. I like the distortions and soft edges along with the film grain.

10/20/2020 - Huntley, Illinois
A fire that damaged the second story of a Huntley apartment complex Tuesday morning displaced three families, according to the Huntley Fire Protection District.
The fire occurred about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday in the 10000 block of Church Street.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, but all six units in the apartment building were rendered uninhabitable, Deputy Fire Chief Al Schlick said.
The fire directly damaged two units with smoke and heat damage, Schlick said. Water damage from firefighting efforts occurring in the rest of the building.
Schlick said the cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it is not believed to be suspicious in nature.
Huntley firefighters activated a box alarm upon their arrival, to request assistance from neighboring agencies with the incident and with responding to ongoing emergency calls in the community, according to a Facebook post by the district.

Today we share the sad news of the passing of John C. Courtin (C'70, L'78, Parent'13), a beloved member of the Georgetown family. Mr. Courtin received the John Carroll Award this spring to celebrate his many achievements and contributions to our community, from serving as GUAA’s executive director to teaching at Georgetown Law. Mr. Courtin has been recognized as “one of the most significant individuals in the history of rowing at Georgetown,” earning first place at the 1969 Dad Vail Regatta as an undergraduate and coaching the varsity lightweight rowing team as an alumnus. His wife Sharon Courtin (NHS’76) was one of the founders of the Georgetown women’s crew program, and their children share their parents’ love and passion for Georgetown rowing. We are in deep sadness and mourning today January 30th, 7 years after the death of our only son Noah. We remember him with tenderness and unconditional love. We think of the love and kindness he gave to so many people in this world during his 44 years.
We read EVERY word of every post, and email through a river of tears, excruciating pain, and deep sorrow.
We will NEVER forget the continued caring and kindness expressed to us by all of Noah's friends, family, and co-workers through email, chat, phone calls, and in person here in New York.

Since 1999, the spider has been the subject of an email hoax claiming that it was a fatal spider found lurking under toilet seats. Lately it has also appeared on Facebook. Posts commonly report of it being found world-round, suggesting everyone must take precautions. No such events appear to have occurred, and the story is considered an urban legend.
Males can reach a length of 8–9 mm and Females 9–11 mm. The male is very dark, with white markings, and red hairs around the eyes. The female is light yellowish, with a very white cephalus and red rings surrounding the narrow black rings round the eyes. Two longitudinal bright red stripes are present on the body. They appear in Singapore, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iran, India, and Bhutan. Telamonia Dimidiata are non-venomous and produce no toxin significant to humans.
