A testimonial from cris is a big honor for me! She is very skilled and so active, if you don’t believe me please go and visit her stream and do not forget to give a look at her recent personal exhibition (a photography as an example? here) … great both in production and concept!

Have a wonderful Tuesday, everyone.
I don't know if you heard, but, Madge, a lovely flickr member and wonderful photographer passed away this past December. I was heartbroken to hear the news. She was always a bright light in the flickr world and her zest for arranging, capturing and sharing the beautiful things in and around her home was always inspiring. She was a master of still life and delightful puns and I will miss her dearly. If you know Madge, I am sure you felt the same and, if you didn't, head on over to her stream now www.flickr.com/photos/mytimeflickrcom/ . it is pure delight.

Mixed feelings when I see pups for sale in the street, good they aren't roaming the streets and will probably find a home. Bad to me is the breeding for profit by breeders, who only care about producing puppies that look fit enough to sell. Bacolod City, Philippines.

to live content with small means
to seek elegance rather than luxury
and refinement rather than fashion
to be wealthy not rich
to listen to stars and birds

act frankly

I had to find something to thank Lynne for the beautiful testimonial she wrote for me. And since it's still Monday Blues, and I love hydrangeas (dead or alive), I thought I'd upload this for her.
Thanks so much Lynne, and anyone who doesn't already follow her stream, be sure and take a look!
It's actually snowing out again today, mixture of hail and snow.......I just know Spring is right around the corner though. Till then, I guess I'll just have my dead hydrangeas to look at.

Nothing, just a fun shot... lol
It was a souvenir mug given by her.
Honestly, I don't like it because i don't like her !!!
Why I'm using it?
Well, I'm on diet and using it means losing my appetite.
I feel so bored and lazy right now.

One of several attempts shooting with a jeweller's eye-piece as a lens. I'm sure there were more productive ways of spending an afternoon but I was curious and got interested ... one for Dee.
Barbara's wonderful group has been hibernating for a couple of weeks but she's invited me to take it on for a while. It is, in my opinion, the best, high quality colour group in FlickrLand so I'd better not screw it up :-) Excellent images with great use of colour and super composition - that's the aim.
The craving for colour is a natural necessity just as for water and fire. Colour is a raw material indispensable to life. At every era of his existence and his history, the human being has associated colour with his joys, his actions and his pleasures. (Frenand Leger)

I recently met, via Flickr, a wonderful woman from Australia that some of you already know. Her name is Bec :-) and yesterday she introduced an exceptional painting by her son, Micah. Micah is a six year old boy with profound autism. Micah's Masterpiece is indeed a masterpiece whether you regard the work as that from a boy with autism, from a six year old or simply from a human being.
Her post yesterday reminded me of a passage in a book I read recently titled The Reason I Jump by author Naoki Higashida. Naoki has high functioning autism. The book offers insight into a bewildering and perplexing condition. I have been waiting for the right moment to post this and Micah’s delightful work reminded me of Naoki’s exceptional work.
The following is an excerpt from his book:
Q45: Why do you enjoy going out for walks so much?
My guess is that lots of people with autism like walking, and I wonder if you can work out why. “Because walking makes you feel good?” “Because it’s great being out in the open air?” Both these replies are true, of course, but for me the number one reason is that us people with autism love the greenness of nature. Now you might be thinking, “Oh, is that all?” However, our fondness for nature is, I think, a little bit different from everyone else’s. I’m guessing that what touches you in nature is the beauty of the trees and the flowers and things. But to us people with special needs, nature is as important as our own lives. The reason is that when we look at nature, we receive a sort of permission to be alive in this world, and our entire bodies get recharged. However often we’re ignored and pushed away by other people, nature will always give us a good big hug, here inside our hearts.
The greenness of nature is the lives of plants and trees. Green is life. And that’s the reason we love to go out for walks.

Sorry for low activity, but I had to go to the sea yesterday. It is so hot in my apartment. I do everything I can to keep the sun and hot air outside, but I have 29 c indoors!!!!!!! :( Outside it is still 30-33 C.
I got a good advice from one of my friends on Flickr to have wet clothes on my body, and plastic on the floor .
Oh what I laughed when I read these tips. I saw in front of me a crazy old lady, with wet dresses, dropping water and leaving a wet mark on the floors where ever she walked.
But I took it a bit easier, have damp, non-dripping towels over my feet when sitting at the computer and a similar towel around the shoulders. This keeps me pretty cool.
Have a nice Friday!!
Texture: French Kiss.
I want to dedicate this picture to my wonderful friend, Any

I haven't been anywhere dressed for a while, mainly due to lockdown, but I have had the odd times when I've been experimenting with different foundation, powders etc.at home, for when I do eventually venture out again. I was trying out the "baking" technique under my eyes here with concealer, beauty blender and loose powder that is all the rage at the moment and followed a youtube tutorial. I'm not sure if its worth all the bother to be honest, I should probably just get some tear trough filler and botox, there is only so much makeup can do! It's my own hair here, plus a few clip in hair extensions for added volume
Thank you for viewing, faving or commenting on my images, have a great day!

Back from my vacation, as you can imagine ......... busy.............
will try to visit you asap, and upload some of my "new adventure" photos!
BIG HUGS and LOVE!
Apologies for another extended absence. Busy, busy.
I don't do many portraits, really; just helping out Chloe who was up against a yearbook deadline. Charlie came along to 'assist' and provide comic relief. His hour-long stand-up routine won me a bunch of genuine smiles.
Nikkor 135mm F2 DC: This got a little dreamy with the defocus control out of alignment by a few stops. Was that on purpose? Sure okay.
Wishing all a fine weekend ahead...
Not done this for a while. trying a dress on in store.
a couple of reasons for this. one, we don't have that many high street stores anymore
two, the ones we do have don't have much I like in them and three all the fuss around wo.en only spaces has taken the shine of a pleasant experience. due to never knowing when someone will kick off.
and bri gs me nicely to thos experience.
I walks into the changing room to be confronted with a massive .. "behave girls it's not what you think" a massive room with cubicles around the outside and big searing area in the centre with a very big mirror.
Well I go and get changed and hear someone else come in.
I take no notice other than to realise she has a friend with her.
anyway I decide I want to flaunt myself infront of the big mirror and so left my cubicle to go an use the mirror. as I look to my right I see a guy sitting down giving his partner advice on her outfit.
so what went through my head was. so much for women only safe spaces and in all truth it didn't matter that he was sat there because we all had our own changing area.

The two women at the offering table, each holding a pile of banknotes in their hands, stare at the huge statue of the Bodhisattva Guanyin (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guanyin), perhaps secretly praying that their offerings will not be unfulfilled. Behind them, some women kneel around the incense burner and touch it, perhaps as a ritual to pray for good fortune and dispel disasters. Another woman tries to throw a coin onto the incense burner, and it is said that if the coin does not fall, the wish will be granted.

The summer sun ray
shifts through a suspicious tree.
though I walk through the valley of the shadow
It sucks the air
and looks around for me.
The grass speaks.
I hear green chanting all day.
I will fear no evil, fear no evil
The blades extend
and reach my way.
The sky breaks.
It sags and breathes upon my face.
In the presence of mine enemies, mine enemies
The world is full of enemies.
There is no safe place.
~ Anne Sexton, "Noon Walk on the Asylum Lawn"
I wanna run through your wicked garden
Heard that's the place to find you
Cause I'm alive, so alive now
I know the darkness binds you
Can you see without eyes?
Can you speak without lies?
I wanna drink from your naked fountain
I can drown your sorrows
I'm gonna burn, burn you alive now
Out of the chains that bind you
Can you see just like a child?
Can you see just what I want?
Can I bring you back to life?
Are you scared of life?
Burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden down
Burn, burn, burn
Burn your wicked garden to the ground
Can you feel pain inside?
Can you love, can you cry?
Stone Temple Pilots, Wicked Garden
“Give me a moment, because I like to cry for joy. It's so delicious, John dear, to cry for joy.”

- what do you do for living ?
Within conversations i have with others; this, above all else, is one of the questions
i despise the most. Not that i would be ashamed to answer it, but it's just too much to ask. Regardless it's true purpose, regardless the great amount of contradictions, it involves. i don't like that... and yet, this could be an answer.
